And the visitor was......... Robin (Bastetservant). Robin and I live near eachother, about twenty minutes apart. She came over for lunch today to meet my cats and my two dogs, Wilbur and Henry..
She also came bearing gifts for everyone. Toys and fresh catnip (from her garden) for the cats, specialty cookies for the boys (dogs), very fancy cupcakes for desert and a special gift for me.... you will see in the following pictures
. We could have talked for hours and hours!!!!!!!!! I took some pictures of us and the gifts!!!!

Robin (left) and me (right)

And the beautifully decorated cupcakes, the flowers were candy. Larry enjoyed two after dinner tonight. There is only one left!!!!!!!! MINE

Here is the gift Robin brought me
, "The Crazy Cat Lady" Action Figure!!!! And I am playing with it tonight
. My hair is a mess, I am in grungy sweats, and I look like a tired old man (if you can see the face on the doll, it is not pretty, wrinkly skin and the eyes are bulging, just an exhausted looking person)
. There is a quiz on the back of the toy to see if you really are a Crazy Cat Lady.
I AM

I am sneaking in some pictures of the cats playing with her fresh catnip and toys..... It was like a version of Christmas morning, but in the middle of August, late afternoon!

Perkins LOVED the springy cat toy. Fantastic cat toy, they batted it around all afternoon.

Thanks Auntie Robin!!!!! Come back soon!!!!

PERLA even came out of hiding to see Robin, the cat's know a "crazy cat lady" when they smell/see one
. Perla is waving (after going nuts with the fresh catnip), THANK YOU AUNTIE ROBIN
Girl Power!!!!

Those cupcakes are just gorgeous (I WANT ONE!) and it looks like all the kids had fun with their toys. What a great afternoon!

Great photos!! I love the action figure! I also love the spring toys, do you know where they came from? I bet Thomas would LOVE them (and he doesn't really like toys) so I'd like to get some.

Thanks for sharing!!

So very cool that you had a chance to get together!! And what nice presents!

Those springy things are Larry's favorite toys. He chases and bats and flings them around in the air. I've seen them at Petland, so I'm sure big chains have them - Petco, Petsmart. I think they have 6 in a package.

What a great visit! Sounds like everybody had a fantastic time and the cats certainly enjoyed their gifts. You both look great, too!

I'm jealous!

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I'm not completely jealous or anything!

Look at those incredibly cute SMILING faces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
to you both!!!!!

I think it's so cool that TCS brought you together!

SO sweet of Robin to bring such wonderful gifts (and BEAUTIFUL cupcakes!!!!) - and LOVE the crazy cat lady action figure!

The kitties obviously enjoyed her visit too!

As to the springy things - next to the rings off the gallon water bottles and twist ties tied in a circle, those are Shelly's favorite toys.
He LOVES picking them up with his paw and flinging them around.

So glad you two had a nice time!

"So Gary, when can we get to Chicago??????"

They are a huge hit! The cats are going nuts for the springy toys again this morning
and the fresh catnip. This is a fun morning because my cats usually have the morning crazies, but today it is magnified
.

Kara, I forgot to ask Robin where she got those
but Nanner says they are at the pet stores. I have never seen them before Robin brought them over yesterday though. Fantastic, safe and sturdy toy. They can even chew them. My cats love them
. Thanks auntie Robin

FYI - I got a pack of those springy toys from Amazon. They were pretty cheap, and I was ordering some other stuff so I just added a pack.

To Gary
come to Chicago very soon, your mother will love it and so will I

Laurie, we will meet someday soon! And if you come here I will be sure to get you the Crazy Cat Lady action figure and we can battle it out as to who is more crazy
. Robin, are you game, too
.

My cats do love those milk rings and they make great, cheap kitty toys BUT they chew them up and eat them
, those spring toys can't be destroyed, even by Pumpkins

COOL
I love the fact that they are a good size and can't roll under the fridge and stove either. I get tired of pulling toys out from under appliances. Thanks for the tip in ordering.
