Hi All,

I couldnt find my 2 monthold kitten yesterday evening ,I waited until the next morning but still no sign but later on in the afternoon while driving down the road I spotted the kitten coming slowly up the road,
I got of the car all happy and shouted the kitten expecting it to come running to me but it never and just meowed loudly.

I ran down to the kitten and noticed it was dragging one of its back legs,
I took the kitten the the vets today and it has a slight fracture of the pelvis and no movement in the right back leg.

The kitten went missing shortly after my sister went to work so it looks like the cat has been inside the engine compartment and jumped out once the car was moving.

I have now got the kitten in a small box to restrict movement to help the healing .

The vet said the use of the leg may return but they cant gaurantee.

Has anyone else had a similar problem that can give me some advice .

Many Thanks

I haven't had a problem like this, but just follow all the instructions on caring for the kitten you get from the vet.

Also, there are so many dangers outside and your kitten is so very young . Is it possible for him/her to live as an indoor only cat? Indoor cats are a lot happier and healthier and they live so much longer.

My Turtle broke her back leg when she was very young. The vet put a cast on it and told us to restrict her activity. If was a complete break. It took about three weeks before the cast came off. She's had no trouble with range of motion since then. The vet said that her being a kitten when she broke it was better than if she were an older cats. Kittens bounce back quicker. Just do everything the vet says and if you have question let him/her know. :vi bes:
