Hi and welcome!

Yes, its nearing. I would suggest you ask your kids to take it easy today and also when the kittens are newborn, and be quite. They will surely understand.
You can perhaps send them upstairs, as she isnt there?

Good luck!

Awww....pregnant kitties are so affectionate....mine followed me everywhere the last couple weeks of her pregnancy

If she's not poking around looking for a "nest" yet, you might have awhile to wait though. Definitely agree with above post about making sure everyone gives her some space and some quiet. If she is really attached to you, she'll probably let you stay with her when she delivers.
When I watched my kitty give birth earlier this year, she disappeared into the bathroom where I had set up a little birthing nest for her, and got into a weird stance almost like she was about to poop. Her breathing sped up a bit and it became obvious that she was having contractions. She had 4 kittens and the entire process only took about an hour. She purred the whole time and was very content with me being there with her.

There are items to have on hand in case your kitty needs help - you probably won't need to do anything though. http://www.2ndchance.info/pregnantcatcare.htm has great info on kitty pregnancy and what to look for in case mom needs your help.

Good luck and enjoy the new babies!
