Anyone use the Simply Nourish brand found at petsmart? My cats like it but I was hoping for feedback for the long term. I used to feed purina cat chow but wanted a higher quality food with better ingredients. Any thoughts on this food, be it on the ingredients below or on your own experiences?

Sorry, I have never tried this brand. I was only wondering if they really gave a maximum number for the crude fat or if that was a typo? All the listings I've been comparing lately list a minimum number. Just curious

Actually I got that list from there site so I didnt have to type it but on the bag its not less than 10% crude fat. I copied the ingredients list too and there were things missing that I filled in but the rest was correct. Ill fix it up top

I would try emailing the company to find out where the protein level actually is because 35.5% (Dry matter) is Way too low for my comfort. ('Course, I AM pretty picky.)

I would imagine it's actually much higher, but there is no way to know without contacting them. I won't feed any less than 43-45% protein (they Are canivores after all), which Simply Nourish wet food has, and my cat LOVES it. Other than that though, the ingredients all check out with me, so it's on my list of positive dry foods.

New to the site and I am trying to work out a diet for two kitties that are "stone" prone ( one struvite(the doc thinks) and one oxalate.  The only thing that worries me about this new Petsmart exclusive food simply nourishing is no one can seem to get any information out of Petsmart about the origin of manufacture.  I just purchesd a small bag to suppliment a transition to mostly wet diet.  The ingredients look good for a reasonably priced dry kibble but would like to know who and where this stuff is made,  quality controls etc.

I have read that several people have emailed petsmart with no luck which makes me say RUN!  I would hate to condem this food early on  but you know how sketchy manufacturers can be when it comes to the animals we love.  Profit always comes first.  I want to believe there is this little old man that sources food from his local store and comes back home to make small quantities of high quality food just for my two cats.  Reality..nope.

Anyone have any luck finding out where this stuff is made and by whom?

Thanks,

D
