no, but I will be going to Atlantic City for my 30th birthday with my sister next month. I will be doing some gambling then.. otherwise.. I'd rather save my money than lose it!
Nope, and in 40 years chasing horses around the track, one would think the opposite but I rarely bet on anything. I doubt I have bet even 500.00 in all those years, and that includes races, lottery, bingo and slot machines; most money spent went on bingo and I chose carefully to which cause the money went or played church bingos.
Nope. DH will buy an occasional lottery ticket or a few scratch-offs, but I don't. We go to casinos, since DH enjoys the slots. And we go there with my brother and SIL. I will sit in a chair in a restaurant with a book the entire time. I don't "get" the gambling thing at all.
Very rarely. I'll buy the occasional lotto ticket when the jackpots are high, and sometimes we play radio bingo to help support the shelter, but that's about it.
She loved to gamble. She'd bet on anything. She went to Vegas every year. She'd go to the race track, and bet on horses and greyhounds, much to my disapproval!!
She also loved bingo. I went to bingo with her many times. It was a riot watching her get excited about it. I won $1000.00 one night when I was with her and I was done--ready to go home. I wanted to keep it all. I'm not a gambler.
Not really. We play cards with our friends but it's only penny ante stuff, no big money at all. I don't see losing money and not getting anything in return so no I don't gamble.
I buy lottery tickets maybe once every week or 2, when I think of it. Still waiting to hit the jackpot!!
We go to Vegas at least once a year, but we have a Vegas Fund jar which is our set gambling money, so even though we lose, it's money that's put aside TO lose.
Anyway, we play the penny slots. Maybe a game or 2 of Video Poker, because we often meet our friend from Boston who is a big gambler, and his poison is Video Poker. He's the kind of big gambler that claims it on his taxes, and always stays and eats for free. We always have a good time though, whether we're gambling or people watching or whatever.
I go to the casino about once a year. I bring $80 ($40 for me and $40 for my husband) and if its gone then its gone. I've won jackpots 3 times ($200, $400 and $937) but nothing huge. I buy scratch tickets about once a month. I've won $25 once and $50 twice. I will usually win around $5-15 on a scratch ticket and my friends sometimes get me to buy them because I usually win something.
If the lottomax jackpot gets to $50 million, then I will buy a ticket. They are expensive though at $5 each.
Gary buys the occasional lottery ticket or scratch off, but I always get mad at him for wasting the money.
He figures one of these days we'll win as the universe owes us.
When we were on the road in the RV, we HAD to stop in Vegas because we'd melted the brakes driving down the back of Big Bear Mountain. We coasted in to the closest RV park.
I played the video poker game in the RV office when Gary was checking out. I hit a royal flush and won $4,000!!!!!!! We had to wait for an armored truck to come deliver the money.
Gary said - you're lucky right now. So instead of checking out, we left the RV in the park and went to the Venetian - it was new at the time. I won another few hundred dollars in the first slot machine. We stayed for three days. Somehow Gary got the room comped, and we left with another $1,700.
The next time we went to Vegas, we decided our limit would be $300, and the "game" was to see how long we could make it last. Again, somehow he got the room comped, and we made that $300 last for five days before it was gone.
Every once in a great while I try my luck at the casinos. I try my luck on scratch tickets, the most I ever won was $100 that happened once and only once
Not really. I played Blackjack and nickel slots on my 21st birthday on our honeymoon cruise. Got pretty good at Blackjack (when it came to using the same $100 for hours).
Every now and again when the lotto is way up there, I'll get a ticket, or buy a $1 scratch off 2-3x a year.
