TGIF!

Just need to get through today and it's VACATION TIME!
After work we need to clean and then make the fosters all pretty for the adoption fair tomorrow. A couple of the boys really need a bath.

I am SO EXCITED for the adoption fair! We had such a blast last week and it's a different location this week, in a "richer" area, lots of people with money & big houses, so here's hoping they all come out to either adopt or donate!
Please continue to send those vibes, because if tomorrow isn't successful, the shelter may be forced to euthanize, and that is seriously the LAST thing they want to do.

Right now Im fidding with the computer getting it all cleaned up and running better since its lagging like crazy. Im going to smash my new phone since I got it three weeks ago and Im already going on my third phone. It keeps overheating and then the keyboard locks up. Im gonna ream my cell company a new one after Df gets off work.

Other than that Ive got a ton of cleaning to do, groceries to get, a truck to fill with gas and hopefully if the weather holds two vehicles to wash. Basically a whole lotta no fun for me and then busy busy busy busy weekend.

Its kind of sad that someone who doesnt work a real job is just as busy as the person who works the real job.
I miss being lazy.

Morning!

I feel more awake this morning than I did yesterday.

Have fun at the adoption fair, Kailie! Sending lots of that your little kids will find loving forever homes!

Not too much going on around here this weekend. We have some shopping to do tonight; DH wants to take advantage of the end-of-summer sales right now to find some shorts.

And tomorrow, we'll be working on corn again. And I want to try Lizzie's recipe for salsa tomorrow, too. We have a ton of beautiful tomatoes ready to be used. I need to pick up my MIL's canning equipment now as the salsa goes through the hot water canning process. (That scares me, but hopefully it will work out OK.)

Sunday, it's going to rain, rain, and rain. So it will all be indoor work. I want to take Mollipop and Tabby up to my Mom's for the afternoon....she loves it when her grandkitties visit.
While she's playing with the cats, I'll make dinner there for us there and DH will come up in time for dinner.

Have a good Friday and a great weekend.

Kailie, I so hope lots of babies find homes this weekend I can't wait to hear how it goes!

Good Morning everyone

Today I have LOTS and LOTS of laundry to do....gotta go get groceries later and maybe school supplies if a certain someone finally decides to pay me!! (One of the people I babysit for hasn't paid me in over 2 weeks).

Going for a run and then work tonight, I think that's about it for me!

I'm off to meet my daughter and we are going to have a pedicure, I'm getting a haircut and she is going to do a french manicure for me so we're just going to hang out today. Her baby shower is tomorrow so we're getting "spiffed up".

Kailie - MUCH MUCH LUCK with the adoption fair. I am keeping my finger's crossed for many adoptions this weekend for you and your shelter
. I will post a picture of the tat on Wilbur's thread in Fur Pictures this weekend. Will let you know. This is the first one that was more involved and has colors. It is still quite swollen/red
... I was worried yesterday, but my artist assured me this is normal, especially on the forearm. I will keep watch, but think today the redness is down, but the swelling spread a bit.

Today I have to mow the lawn and groom ALL my cats. I am picking up Larry at the airport at 4:00 then we will stop for dinner on the way home. I wonder what Larry will think of the tat. He has been out-of-town this week. He knew about it though. Wilbur is now on the homeopathics, started yesterday. I am also cooking meals for him now. He won't eat dog food anymore
. Hopefully these homeos will kick in and get him feeling better in the next two weeks.

Have a great day, friends

Lauren

Morning... I, too, feel more awake than yesterday. I also slept 2 hours later too.... instead of 7AM, the roofers were coming around 11 today, so since it's 11:05, they should be here soon I'm guessing. They just have to finish up a few things, paint the vents and dormers, put our non-functioning but cute and re-painted weathervane back up, clean up, and then they should be done! BF is flying back from his quick overnight work trip in Hawaii and should land around 3:30 and hopefully be home around 5. And then he's home for a few weeks at least, I hope. I'm sure he'll be tired, so it'll probably be a lazy evening at home. This weekend I'm going to work in the garden a bit, BF's going to get the garage back together and cleaned up, and.... not sure what else is going on. We'll figure it out I guess.

Enjoy your vacation, Kailie, and good luck with the adoption fair!

Have a good day and weekend everyone!
