My kittens love "Da Bird" so much, but they have very different play styles.

Katie jumps around willy nilly, leaping high into the air to try and catch it, and she succeeds a good percentage of the time. She plays so hard that she ends up panting. So I make her take a forced break and concentrate my efforts more towards Spencer.

Spencer comes across as a lazy hunter, but in fact he's very stategic. Rather than jumping around like Katie does and wearing himself out, he prefers to keep his hind legs firmly planted on the ground. Sure he will stand up and reach up into the air as the feathers fly over head, but if he can't reach them readily, it's no big deal to him. He just bides his time watching and waiting. Eventually the feathers come to rest on the cat tree at some point, and that's when he makes his move! He goes from zero to 60 in a matter of seconds and the next thing I know he has the feathers firmly in his jaw and he's stalking off with them, proud as a peacock.

Now Abby on the other hand just prefers to be an arm chair, or rather desk top, athlete. But she is 13 years after all, so she is entitled
