When Do the Secret Santa Sign-Ups Begin?

I'm anxiously awaiting participating again this year, since I wasn't able to last year. I know that they usually start the sign-up process around this time of year. Any idea when we'll be able to sign up?

Yeah, we've plied the usual alcohol, chocolate, gnomes, llamas, and threw in a brand new double wide mobile home this year.

sorry guys! I'm just not on the computer like I used to be since I'm not sitting at a desk all day working Sign-ups are *tentatively* set to begin on Monday, August 29th less than 2 weeks away!!

Great! It looks like we are going to have a lot of participation this year.

And I found a good gift yesterday. Just debating on if it's too big to ship. I usually go the "if it fits, it ships" route. Decisions, decisions...

I LOVE SS, but don't sign up because I either wind up not having the money or go too overboard with gifts, and then never seem to get them in the mail on time and have to ship them overnight.... But I have fun watching everyone else enjoy!

I'm the same way... but I do still sign up. I know I haven't terribly active this past year, but I think I'm still okay to sign up this year....

I dont think Im good to sign up Things have been sooooo crazy busy at my house I have had zero time to be online. Things are finally slowing down but not much.

If I cant participate Im definately gonna read about it because SS is always a great time participating or not because things get crazy and are hilarious!!

I saw the cutest thing. It was an outdoor statue of a bear with a sign that said "wipe your paws." The bear was holding up one leg, and on closer inspection, I noticed he had a little gnome squashed on the bottom of his foot. For some reason, I thought about the people here.

there is an additional yearly requirement beyond the initial post and membership time length in order to keep SS to folks that are at least semi-active current members

It's not as much fun if there's people who stopped posting years ago, and come back JUST for SS - nobody knows them, they don't know the person they're buying for. The whole point is that we're buying fun gifts for friends who we have gotten to know
