I need to be able to get both of my cats to the vet in the same carrier for their yearly boosters. Right now I only have one carrier, and it is only big enough for one cat.

I have seen people waiting at my vet's office with two cats in a larger than normal carrier (wider and longer, same height as mine), but I can't find anything like it online. So I guess I have three questions, depending on the answers to the others: Is this a dog crate (not likely given it's low height) or a special dual-cat carrier? If it is a dog carrier, is that alright for me to use with two cats who get along very well? If they do make multi-cat carriers, does anyone have any recommendations on where to look/which one might be best? Thanks.

Check the dog section at your pet supply store. I know that at PetSmart the cat section only has the smaller carriers, while the dog section has larger ones. They are all the same thing, just different sizes, and it would be fine to use a larger one for both of your kitties.

I use the petmate intermediate crate for my two, it's fine for both for vet visits. Obviously it depends on the size of your cats.

My cats are too heavy to carry in one carrier together, so I have several small carriers of various types... If I am taking more than 1-2 cats or going somewhere we will be walking around more, I sometimes use a pet stroller instead (that way I don't have to lift them except to get in the car.)
