How often do you eat out in a week?

We eat in a restaurant maybe once every few months. For a while I was meeting some friends for lunch once a month. That tends to be cheaper. But we haven't done that as often lately. DH and I used to eat out more when I was working and we didn't have a kid. It can be harder to eat out; or enjoy a leisurely meal with a toddler around.

We do order subs or something of that nature to take home a few times a month. Often on a Sunday afternoon after church since we are all starving by the time we get home. We've tapered off on that lately though.

In a week? None. We go out maybe once a month. During the summer we camp alot, so hubs is cooking, that's like a night out. (Firemen learn to cook really good stuff!)

During the winter, we go to the local sports pub on Sundays for the 8 o'clock game. (NFL) It's an Irish restaurant, with fantastic prices, so we usually have dinner there since I spend all day Sunday running from football game to football game. If the 8 o'clock game is a Jets game, we stay home and have lots of snacky food. Guacamole, dried sausage and sopressata, cheeses and crackers, chips, dips, and beer. The kids have their friends over and we have a great time!

Maybe once every six weeks. I just can't see spending the money (and consuming all the calories) more often. However, when we're on vacation we'll go out for both lunch and dinner, even though we have a full kitchen.

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
Sit down dinner places...Like twice a month...Drive thru...twice a week. Can we say dollar menu!! lmao...on the weekends we are usually soooo busy or running around that its just easier to hit up mcdonalds or call in a hoagie order than it is to go home and make something and stuff. And normally I make too much and we are too full to go back outside and go back to work. lol. For the sanity of actually completely work its better if I dont cook cuz when I cook you know your gonna be full and ready for a nap afterwards.

I'll go out to lunch 3-5 times a week, though I'm trying to get better at bringing my lunch and eating healthier. I have been picking healthier options (ie: turkey sub at Subway vs a cheesesteak from Charley's)

We go out to dinner on Saturday nights as our date night

BF cooks on weekends sometimes which is always good too.
This is the same for us.

There's no place like home
When I worked my old job, I went out to lunch 5 days a week, and got take out for dinner a couple times a week.

Now I go out to lunch maybe twice a month and never get take out dinner. We go out to dinner as a treat a couple times a year.

We're saving a lot of money and I've lost 45 pounds since I stopped eating restaurant food all the time.

More often than I should...Lately it's been twice or three times a week, but I'm trying to go less often. Each time I go out to eat, it's like $10-20, and over time that builds up and I'd much rather have that money going towards something else...
But the reasons why I've been eating out so much is really because I go to meet friends over lunch or dinner, it's something easy we can do to be social. We could go play tennis, bowling, to the movies, but going to each is just the more lazy and therefore easier thing to do.
