I just got back from my trip to California; I left on the 3rd and returned yesterday. I was initially there just to see my family and friends, but well as the saying goes: the things I'll do for animals...

For my cat that I left in Cali:
one general information cat book with emphasis on diet
12 cans of cat food
one can cover
one squeaky cat toy
one corrugated cardboard scratcher
one brush

Reason: cat severely overweight and destroying couch

For my grandmother's dog:
one diet book "Chow Hounds"
one steel portion pacer (aka ball in the bowl to stop gulping)
one kibble dispensing toy

Reason: dog morbidly obese and continuing to gain weight

For my sister's/mom's cat:
one bag of treats
one trip to the vet which included:
general exam
microscopic exam of ear junk
basic vaccinations
deworming

Reason: cat too thin with extremely dirty ears and slight hair loss on the face with irritated skin

For my dad's cat:
One bag of cat food
24 cans of wet food
one food container
one can cover
one trip to the vet which included:
general exam
bloodwork
deworming
prognosis: borderline hyperthyroid and borderline kidney disease

Reason: cat emaciated with slightly dirty ears and eyes having the appearance of being sunken in with strange color blotches in them

For my Uncle's/Cousin's dog:
Took for one successful, one unsuccessful walk
Cleaned up 10 lbs of dog poop from the side yard
played fetch with an orange

Reason: This one almost upsets me the most. My cousin bought this dog but was unable to take it with him to Hawaii for college. My uncle (and the other people living in the house) haven't taken him for a walk in a month. He has no toys and is left in the tiny backyard to whine to himself for about half the day. The side yard area where they used to leave him (I don't know if they still do) is filled with poop, and you can't help but step on some in order to get to the dog's igloo bed.

I'm poor now, lol.
