Morning!


I'm actually in the office today. Not doing much work though because I just got a message from the shelter director saying they were approved for another adoption fair at a different location for this weekend. We DID have plans for the weekend, as we're on vacation all next week, but I just moved everything around because a lot of my fosters should be well enough to be put up for adoption and we can't miss this chance. Plus I had such a wonderful time last weekend. Aside from that, the shelter is at risk of having to euthanize if some homes can't be found soon and they do NOT want to do so. It goes against everything they stand for.

Busy busy busy! I kinda feel like a chicken with my head cut off!

Kailie, I read the article in the paper last night at Jean's, it broke my heart

I wish I was able to foster but I'm too far away
I hope the adoption fair is a HUGE success

Today it is rainy and dreary and my foot is KILLING me. 3 days ago I stepped on one of the dog bones and tore a huge chunk off the bottom of my foot, for some odd reason today it's super tender.

I am off tonight, Craig works until 10 so I;m looking forward to putting the kids to bed this evening and just enjoying some "me" time.

Kailie - I will be praying for your foster's to get wonderful homes this coming weekend at the adoption fair. Please keep up posted on that for sure

I am getting a tattoo today !!!!!!!!!!! I am a bit nervous. I have a couple of small black angel tattoos on my back. This one will be a bit more involved. It will go on my left inside forearm and will be my dog, Wilbur's, paw print in a heart and possibly a Chinese symbol - Forever. I will post a picture of it later on Wilbur's Fur Picture thread........ Wish me luck

OOOH! I can't wait to see pictures! I've been wanting a tat for several years, but I'm such a chicken. I even have it all designed and planned. It's just getting myself into that chair. cluck cluck.

Today I need to go food shopping, I'm procrastinating, I taped "Flipping out" so I'm watching it, for the 3rd time.

Tonight is my middle sons football practice, which is total fun and satisfies my football addiction, so I should get moving, but the desire to move isn't here yet. I guess I'm being a sloth today. Maybe I need a nap.

Morning... damp and gloomy and cool again, we're back to the June Gloom thing here in SoCal. And the roofers are back, and Dorothy just squeezed herself under the loveseat. I feel so bad for her, I hate that she's scared and upset! She's such a tough cat most times, I really didn't expect this. I expected Genever to be the one who's out of sorts.

Anyway, I'm just slowly waking up.. picked some cherry tomatoes, having coffee (Jamaican Blue Mountain from my ex-bosses. Yum!).. I guess I'll get some hours of job searching in again since I'm stuck at home. I'm so tired... Oh, I never finished my curtains yesterday, so I should do that today too. Not yet though.

How exciting Lauren, I can't wait to see it! I wasn't able to get the one I wanted a couple weeks ago because my brother's appointment showed up, but I made my OWN appointment with him next Tuesday morning. Can't wait!

Well, I did it . An hour and fifteen minutes. It really didn't hurt that bad . I will get a picture up this weekend (I have to wait for Larry to get home Friday, he knows how to get them off the camera, downsize them and put them in my photobucket, I take it from there ). I just love it and now am thinking of my next tattoo! Tell me about your upcoming tatt, Kailie!!!
