Is my cat stressed by the others leaving?

I've had my cat for about 4 years. In that time, there were always cats around the area(irresponsible owners didnt get their cat fixed and let them go feral), she's not the most social thing in the world, and hates the company of other cats (after 2 months old, she even started trying to lure away her own kittens from the house)

Anyway, she never got on with the tom in the area, mainly because before we got her, he used to come into the house and we'd give him food. About a year ago, he was hit by a car and passed on, and she seemed to get a bit friendlier and stopped eating. So I suppose she was stressed by him dying.

A few months ago, the two feral females got pregnant, One had three kittens about the time the other got pregnant. Anyway, of course, the irresponsible neighbor decided then to do something about the cats and get rid of them. She took the two female and one of the kittens to a shelter where apparently, she gave the kitten away, the females were put down because they were so inbred(she claimed to a shelter, but personally I wouldnt believe her)
A few minutes after this, we heard crying in the back garden- Low and behold we find a kitten only an hour old! The neighbor got rid of her JUST AFTER she gave birth!!! my mother went into the neighbors garden and found three more kittens, Cold and stiff- ran to me and my brother and got us to rub them till the warmth came back, and IT WORKED!!!!

They were the sweetest little things, but the mother passing, the inbreeding, and the mother being so young when she had them (6 months), they passed after a week one every few hours. FKS I think, they probably wouldn't have made it anyway. Nature would have been crueler had we not heard the kitten crying.

Anyway, then we found that the neighbor had only gotten one of the older kittens, and we started taming them. They were getting quite used to us and their dad started showing up as well. He started taking on the mother role and took them back to his house- Which must have been a hell of a surprise for his owners XD

Since the two kittens left with their dad, There aren't any strays in the area anymore, only one other cat in the area is a rather old tom who comes and goes. My cat seems to have stopped eating again, Now marking her territory in the house, following us around and being a bit timid (and overly friendly, for her at least), I'm wondering is it possible she's stressed by their not being other cats anymore? should we get her checked out if it continues?

Welcome to TCS!

Cats are excellent at hiding pain/illness. IMO any change in behavior warrants a vet visit, just to be on the safe side.
