Ok. I need advice about a VERY small cat that could very likely be pregnant right now. She's over a year old but is so tiny that she looks like a kitten.

First off, let me say this was not my cat . A girl my sister worked with asked if she could keep the cat here for a "few days" because she got evicted but the girl ended up moving away and never got the cat. She had never got it shots, dewormed, spayed or really anything. The cat was skin and bones. So i took it in and got it shots and dewormed and was gonna wait til I had more money to spay it, cause I already have 4 cats, 2 dogs and 3 bunnies of my own to care for. Unfortunately, my great dane would not stop bullying her so my mother ended up taking her in.

Now heres where the problem comes in, the cat got out and was gone for a few days. While in heat. There's a LOT of stray cats around so I can almost guarantee she is pregnant. :/ My mother and I both do not have the money to have her fixed right now, and I won't til the beginning of September at least. My concern is can a tiny cat like this carrying kittens that long hurt her? Also, what if she does have the kittens? Shes just so small.. Here are pictures of her:

In the pictures she is the little blue one next to one of my male cats who is also a year old. You can see the major size difference..

I greatly appreciate anybody who has knowledge to share about this! Thank you so much

Did she JUST get out? A month is a long time to let the pregnancy go on--the farther along she is, the more risky a pregnant spay becomes. I don't think 4 weeks is TOO far along but it would definitely be riskier than doing it now. Any way you can borrow the money or ask the vet if you can make payments or pay later, or maybe give the vet a post-dated check? A lot of vets will help in this kind of situation. Call around to see if any vets are feeling charitable this month.

Seconding Willowy´s advice.

Good luck!

ps We could perhaps discuss what happens if you take your chance, wait and see, and hope for the best. After all, many females are small.
But what is the point of it?? You barely manage the animals you have as it is. Love you do have more than enough, but whole time tight with money and space.
The only reasonable answer and solution is spaying NOW. before it get worse.

Sorry it's been a while but thank you for the replies.
She's spayed now.
