So Gnocchi went to the vet today, things went well. She got the second in her series of three shots of the FVRCP. I was told to have her back in 3 weeks for her third and final shot in the series. When she is old enough she will get her rabies and then her spay.

The vet asked me about other vaccines and if I wanted her to have them..lukemia, FIP. I only vaccinate what is absolutely required in order for them to be altered. Im not sure if people diagree with this, but it is something I feel strongly about. I believe that it can be to much and the risks for some animals can outweigh benefits.

I have always kept a multicat household, testing for Felv/Fiv before a newbie comes into the house. There is no keeping them aparrt for health reasons, its always been for the newcomer to get accustomed to the rythm of a new home.

In more than two decades I have not had an issue with my lack of concern over yearly vaccinations. I do take the cats yearly for check ups and blood panels if they need them.

Im just wondering what others do about vaccines and whatnot.
