Chasing Da Bird...
You have a heart as great as all outdoors. I'm not sure I could have restrained myself when faced with a monster that abused those lovely boys.

It's all about karma now. The bus will be along soon for him.

They are really beautiful. They are so lucky you made them part of your family. Pipsqueak (AKA Boss man) says they stay, so they stay!
YAY!!!

Thanks FRIENDS
. I knew I would get all of your support on this. I did find out the other day that the guy is still in jail!!! For animal abuse charges and domestic battery charges. I might have to go to court and testify on the condition of the cats along with Jason who took in the cats that one day. I will be happy to and will really have to keep my cool if I see the guy. I really am not a violent person in the least, BUT when it comes to innocent little cats being tortured like that, I really feel rage inside like non other before.
.

I also found out from Jason, that these boys as kittens were given to the wife from her sister. Her husband never like the cats and refused to buy them food. That is why they eat anything we eat and try to steal food. He also would dunk them into the toilet and put them outside on their deck off of the patio (they live on the third floor) in frigid temperatures and told the wife that if she went to get them he would kill her. I am just hearing more and more of this story from Jason, as he is talking with the lady and helping her through this terrible time. She is grateful to me that I have the cats now and I have given Jason some pictures to show her so she can see they are doing well. I feel so bad for her. She just can't afford to keep them herself and is afraid that "the psycho monster" will come back and get them all. I really would like to give him a bit of his own torture and dunk him until he almost drowns too.
.

I AM GOING TO KEEP THEM BTW!!!!!!!!!!! They are working out too well and we all know how hard it is to acclimate new cats into our homes. They are doing so well and everyone else has accepted them. Wendall is trying to see what he can get away with though, so I have to watch him. Perkins likes to pick on Perla (she gets so ruffled about things and hisses, and makes herself an easy target) and I think Wendall is picking up on what Perkins is doing to Perla. But,
Pip comes in quickly like the Tasmania devil
to put Wendall in his place. Wendall just sits there and sulks. Once he tried to touch
Pip with his paw after he was reprimanded and the
bonked him on the head REAL hard
. Wendall just laid down and sulked
.

They are really happy here and well-adjusted. BOY, do they love to eat

you sure did
. They are here to stay
. It is just to unbelievable how easily they fit into the household. Like they have been here before
. I have never had intros go so smoothly and with such ease, very strange. Even
Perla likes them, for the most part
. Originally, I figured I would let them mingle with the four P's occasionally until I found them a new home as I expected it to take some time to find the right situation. Things went so beautifully, I started leaving them out for longer periods and now they are loose day and night except for feeding time, which they go into the foster room happily of course, anything for food
. I just pray it keeps up. I was worried when they started to gain weight and get healthy things might change but they didn't. They have been a blessing to me also in a way in my time of need.

Honey, you made my Monday! You are truly an angel to those kids and I'm so glad you took them in. I think it was Laurie who said you have the Super Six and I agree with that. Your cats know those kids needed a good home, too, just as much as you did. Bless you. And bless all your furkids, too.

I love the picture of all six of them looking out the window at the birdfeeder. That's just beautiful!

AW Thanks so much
, kinda strange how it worked out and the timing too. I think I needed them as much as they needed me. And they DO fit in so perfectly and yes, Laurie
(she knows me so well
) said they were the "Super Six"!!!!!
. I think I am going to add another word to their title
, and call them "The Sensationally Super Six"
.

Right now, Walden is giving me love bites. Each morning when I post on TCS, OH my POOR CHIN
OUCH!!!!

OMG - This is a first and I just had to share this!!
PERLA
is grooming Wendall right now on the head (another
). I might try to get a picture, but I have a feeling if I move, she will run off too. So I am just going to sit here and watch in amazement!!!
. These boys have been a blessing to all of us in some way or another.

Last night I woke to a paw in the mouth
. Walden decided I should open my mouth and speak at about 3:30 a.m.!!! Well, it worked

And Lauren - have you not learned to go anywhere without your phone?
It does have a camera on it, doesn't it! Shame on you, depriving us of the moment!

Seriously... AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I just read through this thread now, and... wow! What a @*&^%$# that awful man is! I'm glad he's still in jail, and I hope he stays there for a long time. You're amazing for helping out and deciding to give these 2 sweet little guys a safe, loving home! They sound like such characters, I'll be looking forward to more stories about them and the 4 P's!!

Lauren, you're as "crazy" as I am when it comes to not being able to turn away from those poor babies being abandoned & abused like that.
Some day the authorities will come and lock both of us up for being crazy cat ladies.

Wendall & Walden are adorable!
Bless your heart for giving them a good home.
They couldn't have found a better one!

I won't even get started on what I think of that
who abused them like that.
May he rot in hell.

They are seriously living the good life now, and I'm SO happy you decided to keep them. It sounds like they are a wonderful addition to your family.

Aw thanks friends
.... Walden has the sweetest meow and answers me from where ever he is in the house when I call him. I also call him Sneakers, because he runs out doors very quickly
but then he just stops and freezes and lets me come and pick him up. He is now going in the bathroom cabinets and hiding out. I completely panicked today. I couldn't find him to save my life especially since he always answers me when I call to him.
. I thought somehow he got out of the house. I was a wreck. I went into the bathroom and opened the closet to look again. Then I heard a quiet meow. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!! WALDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I heard it again, I opened up the tall cabinet in the bathroom and still couldn't find him. WALDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another mew. He was on the bottom shelf, way in the back behind two plastic containers where I keep extra bathroom supplies. I pulled out one of the containers and there he was with a big smile on his face
OH SNEAKERS!!!!!!!! and I pulled him out. He knows how to open this cabinet with his paw, it is easy to do. He is the most mellow cat I have ever known. He walks real slow, he just a cool
dude. They both are awesome kitties.

I just hope that lady doesn't want them back sometime down the road. I feel sorry for her, but she should have never let this abuse go on as long as she did. It's one thing when you allow yourself to be abused but to stand back and allow innocent, defenseless little kittens, there is no excuse in the world for that, none whatsoever. Never thought about that but someone mentioned it to me. I will never let them go back to her and they are microchipped to me now anyway and I will fight like crazy if it were to come to that.....

Well, I hope the woman you got them from focuses on getting her life put back together before she would even THINK about having cats again!!! I sincerely hope she is able to pull herself up and get her life to a good place. If she ever comes back to you and is able to care for pets, just send her to the nearest shelter.

You are the one who got Walden & Wendall shots, neutered, de-wormed, chipped... YOU are their mommy now. And in all honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if she never wants to see them again because they might just remind her of a terrible time in her life. I'm sad that she, Walden and Wendall were so abused, and I can only hope that she finds the same kind of happiness that those two handsome boys have!

Hopefully she doesn't change her mind and want the cats back. As long as she doesn't know where you live, I don't think you have anything to worry about. If she does change her mind, don't let her anywhere near them!
