It is about time I share some photos of Wilbur and Henry. Two almost thirteen year old Jack Russell Terrier brothers. Wilbur
is my once-in-a-lifetime dog and has failing health issues and it is tearing me up inside. I am getting help from Ellen, the animal communicator and a holistic vet at this point. This next week, I have an appt. to get Wilbur's pawprint tattooed on my left inside forearm. I am cherishing each day I have with him. Henry, is a sweetheart, and my shadow as well. He has a super healthy body but a very "ill" mind..... suffers from terrible phobias, separation anxiety, and panic. They are quite the pair, one with a body giving out and one with a mind giving out

Wilbur on his cool bed that daddy just bought for him. Helps him regulate his body temperature and he loves his cool bed !!! MY ANGEL

Wilbur at the nursing home last weekend visiting Grandma and eating Grandmas lunch. He loves anything but his dog food these days

HERE MOM, Pipsqueak lost his toy

I am mommy's special boy

My Hairy Kitty Blanket!!!!!!!!

Wilbur loves Perla!!!

AND NOW HENRY!!!!!
DID YOU SAY COOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The boys in the stroller because Wilbur can't walk anymore. Henry can walk, but he looks so pathetic when Wilbur gets a ride. I usually put Henry in the bottom basket.
He loves it down there too. It is the talk of the town and people just crack up!! I even jog and push them along

What do you mean, I AM NOT FAT

Do you like my mohawk on my back? Can we go swimming in Lake Michigan now???

Thanks for looking at my boys!!!!!!!!!

Oh They are tooooo cute! I love the older dog look of adoration they give their mommies and daddies.

I'd like to give them both hugs! I love JRTs. Small bundles of tough dogs.

Such sweet pups. I know how hard it is to watch them age though.

Thanks SOOOO much everyone
. It is very, very hard to see them getting old and especially Wilbur with his condition. It breaks me up inside but I am trying to be strong each day and be joyful for each day more I have with him.
. I got the stroller at a garage sale this summer for $10.00. I have always walked daily with my dogs and Wilbur just can't do it anymore, the little trooper, he would try so hard but the tremors are so severe and his muscles are so weak that he could barely make it down the block anymore. So I thought of the stroller as a way for him to walk a few feet until he is tired and in the stroller he goes and away we go!! He loves it
. It was SO funny
, the first day I used the stroller and put Wilbur in it, Henry stopped dead in his tracks and refused to go any further!
. I pulled him a bit and he just refused. So I had to put him in the bottom basket of the stroller and he was happy as a clam.

Henry needs the exercise though, so I make him walk to the park then he gets a ride in the stroller at the park, then he has to walk home. I love my boys and am happy to share some pictures of them with you all.

Thanks
. I had a consult with a Holistic Vet today about Wilbur. He will be getting treated for Cushing's and Pancreatis starting on this Thursday. I pray this will help him as nothing else has. The drugs to treat Cushing's is much worse than the symptoms. So I am going holistic with him. He is such a great little spirit and I want to try anything possible to help him.

He loves his stroller and feels so special when we go for a walk. He gets ALOT of attention and smiles

I have the opposite form of Cushing's which is Addison's.
I don't know anything about the treatment for Cushing's, though. I have to take a couple different steroids everyday, and have been for the past 6 years. I now have osteoporosis and they think that the steroids have started to destroy my hip joint. The only fix is a hip replacement. I'm only 33. The medications really do terrible things to a body, but I have no real choice or option.

Yes, the trouble with treating a dog with the drugs for cushing's is that is usually brings them down to the other disease - Addison's. The drugs kill the adrenal glands. So I am not going that route and praying
that the homeopathics will at least give him some more time with me and give him some relief. He is truly my little, sweet, special, once-in-a-lifetime dog

So, I received the homeopathics yesterday. Seven of them
!!!! Finger's crossed they will work for Wilbur
. He hasn't been wanting to eat much lately, so yesterday I started cooking for him. He got rare ground sirloin, with a scrambled egg and cooked carrots !!! I also got the tattoo on my forearm. I really love it, but wonder what family
will think
. Oh well, it is there and it is with me forever, like Wilbur be
. Will post a picture of it this weekend.

Here is one that I got three year's ago - it is an angel I "hired"
to watch over Wilbur....

Here is another picture of my sweet boy:

Here is the tattoo I just got four days ago on my forearm. Wilbur means EVERYTHING to me, he is the light in my life and his footprint is forever in my heart
. This is an actual imprint of his front right paw.
