Kitten meal time...

Gnocchi (the newest feline family member) has reached 2 pounds!!! YAY this may not seem like much, but when we got her home a few weeks ago, she was bony and pretty sickly looking. She eats alongside her brothers and pretty much holds her own at mealtime.

My question? Is it ok to feed them all a food formulated for cats and kittens? I know she needs more calories, so we feed her 2 other meals alone per day.
Its tough running 2 hulking brothers out so she can eat alone every single meal and she loves their company They have accpeted her and its sweet to seem them all play.

So do I keep on as I am? Or do I make the switch to a formula completely for kittens and keep meals seperate until she is older?

You can continue feeding her a cat/kitten food. It seems as though she's doing well on it! If you have concerns about her not getting enough calories or nutrients, you can always add some kitten food to her portion or some KMR.

Thanks for the reply I have added KMR second stage and offer her that once a day as well. I guess it just worries me about her nutrient and calorie intake. She had such a rough start with the parasites, poor baby. She has bounced back well and I just want to make sure she keeps on track.

We have a vet visit Saturday morning to discuss/start shots. Hopefully that goes well. I need to get her on the road to her ultimate spay date in a couple of months.

I should add that she was tested for FelV and FIV before we brought her home, so no worries there at all

Congrats on the new baby Sounds to me like you have it under control. Keep us posted on her progress if you have time.
