Hello everyone:

Lucas has lots of skin issues and allergies, and thank God I was able to change his diet to canned only and I'm just super happy about that. Our vet recomended to feed him grain free turkey canned food. So, when I live I can't get that kind of food, so i have to order online. I was feeding him Blue wilderness Turkey formula, but I read the ingredients and it has potatoes, and my vet says that for Lucas that is a NO.

So, I was thinking of buying by Nature Turkey canned food. Here are the ingredients:

Ingredients:
Turkey, Turkey Broth, Turkey Liver, Guar Gum, Cassia Gum, Carrageenan, Minerals (Iron Amino Acid Chelate, Zinc Amino Acid Chelate, Cobalt Amino Acid Chelate, Copper Amino Acid Chelate, Manganese Amino Acid Chelate, Sodium Selenite, Potassium Iodide), Inulin, Vitamins (Vitamin E, A, D3, B12 Supplements, Thiamine Mononitrate, Niacin, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Folic Acid, Biotin), Choline Chloride, Flaxseed Oil, Salt, Taurine.

The problem is that it is a 12 can case. I needed more.

is this food good?

Thank you

Tammy

I think Guar gum comes from some kind of bean or grain, so is this food really grain free? I'm puzzled

Tammy, I am not familiar with the brand. You might do some research on it before buying it and take the findings to your vet to look over with you. I wish I could be more help on this but on the surface it looks like this brand may not be a totally grain free product. Just my thoughts.

I feed this food to my FIV kitty and although he didn't like it at first, that was just because he was being picky and he eats it fine now.

The Guar Gum is just a powder that helps keep the cat food together, nothing to worry about since guar is a bean.
