Hello from Ohio!

Hi, everyone! My name is Betty and I figured I'd introduce myself to everyone. I am a 21 year old college student and I live with my two sweet kitties and my two dogs. My dogs are Anna and Charlie. Anna is a 9 year old Pomeranian mix who I have had since she was 8 weeks old and Charlie is a Chow mix who we rescued at 4 weeks. Now on to the cats, who are the obvious reason I joined this forum

Silas is a one year old white, deaf long haired boy who was dumped at a friend's house when he was 5 months old. I had just went through the loss of my 15 year old cat, Boots, when I visited my friend and saw this little, skinny ball of fluff on his front porch. He mentioned that they needed to find a home for him and I jumped all over that opportunity. He has since turned into the sweetest, but most evil little guy I could ever imagine owning. He is loud, obnoxious, crazy and has no manners at all, but the boy owns my heart He's my sweetie.

Delilah Janine is my miracle baby. She is about 6 weeks old currently and was found abandoned in a trailer park that my brother lives in. She was covered with fleas and hadn't eaten in a few days. My mom brought her home and called me with the news. The most amazing part is what I will tell next.

My fiance passed away this past June after a freak accident. We were getting married in a month. DJ's favorite cat was always a calico. He wanted one so bad once we got established and had the ability to get another cat. He wanted to rescue, as did I. Delilah is a calico... and super feisty one at that. Her age places her birth at just a few days after the accident in which I lost him. If you can't tell already, Delilah's initials are the same as my fiance's. We have been calling her Deejay for short. This baby feels as if she was put in my life as a way for us to have the family we will never get the chance to have any other way. She has brought so much joy to my life in the wake of such a tragedy.

Well, I'll stop with the stories, but I just wanted to say that I am so excited to be a part of a great forum like this one and I can't wait to post pictures of my furry little guys.

Thanks for reading

Hello Betty welcome to TCS . I first off want to say I am very very sorry for the loss of your significant other.

Now as for your pets they all sound like they are great animals. But they are all very lucky to have you as a care giver. I can not wait to see photo's of all your pets. Again welcome to TCS and hope you enjoy your stay .

Hi there! I'm glad you found our site, but I'm so so sorry about your fiance. It's amazing how our fur babies can help us through these things.

If I can help you with questions you have about our site, just ask. You can respond in this thread, or click on my name and send a PM.

Thanks guys Just out of curiosity, what are the rules about posting pictures and videos to this site? I glanced through it and couldn't seem to find any information on how to do this. Are there a certain amount of posts I need to make before I can do so?
