Selling a house

Hey guys,

Need vibes for my parents as they are trying to sell our summer home. My dad and his mother are the primary owners of the house and my grandmother is actually on the verge of bankruptcy so she really can't afford to help pay the bills. Since I moved to the Chicago suburbs I don't go up there as much and neither does the rest of my family so the extra ~12,000 dollars a year my dad is paying in bills isn't really practical when it sits unused 10 months of the yer.

Its been on the market since July 1st(I think) and we haven't gotten much interest(one showing I think). This really isn't the market to try to sell a house in but as I said its really not affordable. I would take over half the payments but I'm currently unemployed so that's not really a possibility. If anyone knows anyone who's interested in property on a lake in north central Wisconsin drop me a line otherwise just vibes and well wishes are enough.

have they looked into renting it out too? May be a good option until it sells

What lake is it on, and what town is it close to?

(I sort of know the area. One of my cats is named after a bar on a lake in north central Wisconsin.)

Unfortunately my dad doesn't want to take on the risk of renting the place out. Both me and my mom have several friends that would be interested in renting it though.

Its on Lake Camalot in Rome, WI. If you don't know where Rome is think Nekoosa/Wisconsin Rapids and your close enough(about 15 minutes south of those).

the link below will bring up pictures and info for anyone who might be interested. Its being sold fully furnished with the boat, lift, and dock included. I do believe we're also selling our 1980's pick up that is stored in the garage but don't quote me on that.

What a nice looking lake house! I too was going to suggest renting (since we are also looking at buying a 2nd home on a lake and renting it out as a vaca rental, then using it when we'd like), but since they're not interested in doing that, I'll just send many vibes that they find a buyer soon!

Really???? I grew up in Wausau!

The housing market is not the best especially for second homes. My husband has mentioned looking into buying one but that is the wrong direction for us.

There are property management firms that could possible streamline a rental process.
