We get out of bed around 4:30 - 5:00. While DH is preparing breakfast for the cats, I'm on the treadmill in the basement. Then I clean out litterboxes and straighten up the house. I make the bed (if I can get to the bed before the cats do, that is) and throw clothes into the laundry basket. DH dumps the dehumidifier in the basement on plants outside, then walks up to inspect the garden. We clean Tabby's ears out and give her her meds. Then we give Whisper her meds; she's on antibiotics for dental problems. After DH leaves for work, I grab my shower, do my hair, and get dressed for work. If BooBoo wants to Bounce, then he and I will do our little Bounce routine for about five or so, depending on what kind of mood he's in and how long he wants to Bounce. While I'm brushing my teeth, I'm holding Mollipop and walking through the house, while she bats at my toothbrush, purring the whole time. (I put her down to floss because I need both my hands.)

If I have a few minutes, I'll check my email and browse through the morning paper online.

While I'm getting my lunch ready (apple, yogurt, and diet Mt. Dew in my little lunch bag), I'm also giving Molli and Tabby their snack...I know, they ate breakfast at 5:00, but by 7:00, they're starving! Mollipop gets a few pieces of dry kibble; Tabby gets canned food warmed up a bit in the microwave. Sometimes BooBoo will decide that he's starving, too, so then he gets a few pieces of kibble. While they eat, I'm preparing marinade for whatever we're grilling that night or preparing something for the crock pot, if we're using that. A quick wipe-down of kitchen counters and I'm out the door to leave for work. And I always touch every cat and tell them that I love them, but I must work so that they don't starve.
They don't care.

Once at work, I get the Keurig ready and have my first cup of coffee. Timothy's Italian Blend makes my morning worth coming into work.
And then I hit TCS and other boards.

What are your mornings like?

I wake up between 6:30-7 and get the lady I work for (she is 94) out of bed to use the bathroom, once I get her back into bed I make my bed and make sure everythng is closed up and drive home.

I get home, let the dogs out for their pee and the cats by this time are screaming at me for their breakfast, I get them fed and finally go to the bathroom myself to pee and brush my teeth.

I pick up the cats bowls, bring the dogs in and start getting breakfast for my kids. By 7:30 the little ones I start babysitting start arriving and by 8ish they're all here, I feed them, get them settled and start checking my email and TCS

I usually have a lazy morning doing chores, dishes, laundry, floors, cages, litter boxes and then the afternoon is usually spent outside with all the kids.
Of course come September and my routine will be different because I'll have to rush home and get my boys off to school....ohhh I dread that!

I have lazy mornings.. lol.

I get up around 8, usually with Monet insisting I wake up. I use the potty, then I give the cats their breakfast. If I am in the mood, I start my coffee, I usually get it at work. I sit on the couch, check my email and do my morning website routines while I watch Reba for a while. At about 8:30, I get up, wash up and do my hair, clean the cat boxes out, and get dressed. By this time, its about 8:50-8:55, then I grab the garbage, hug and kiss the kitties goodbye, and head to work and get to work at exactly 9:00 and start my day, lol.

I am NOT a morning person...

I shower at night so I don't have to do it in the morning. Holland usually wakes me up anywhere between 5:30 and 6:30, so I get up to feed her so I can get a little more sleep. I get up about 7:15, wash my face, brush my teeth, dress, play with Holland, eat breakfast and off to work by 8:00!

I'm very not a morning person either. I sleep til the last minute. So does BF. Right now I'm 'between jobs' so it's usually Give Dorothy her pill at 7AM, go back to sleep for an hour or so depending on BF, and get up when BF leaves for work (usually before 8:30). Then I wash my face and put in my contacts, feed the cats, who usually just look at the dishes of wet food and walk away.
I get dressed then, and usually get on the PC, or go to the grocery store or check on the garden.

When I'm working, it's pretty much the same, sleep til the last minute, face/eyes, cat food, get dressed, out the door.

We wake up between 7-7:30AM, come downstairs, say good morning to the kitties.

We then have our Keurig coffees & breakfast. After breakfast I go up and clean out all the litter boxes, feed the cats, both ours and the fosters, give the fosters meds, syringe feed the fosters who require it, wipe noses & eyes, etc.

Then I wash up and either sign into work from home, or I get dressed and go into the office. More often than not I work from home.

haha I am lazy compared to you guys! We dont like mornings at our house.

7:30 alarm: hit the snooze
7:40 alarm: hit the snooze while trying to tell Gary to get up
7:50 alarm: turn off alarm and force the boyfriend out of bed. He does not do mornings well, so it takes a few tries usually. Get up and get Gary something to wear for the day. Curl back up in bed with Joey!
8:30 alarm: snooze again
8:40 alarm: get up, or snooze again depending on the morning lol
8:50 finally drag my butt out of bed at the last possible minute and shower, brush my teeth, do my make up, hair if I'm feeling it (usually it just air dries on the way to work)
9:15ish make sure the cats have dry food and water, gather my lunch if I have anything to take, gather my laptop, purse, etc.
9:35 off for a day of work.

We usually only drink coffee on weekends and we both take something to eat at work for breakfast. Once we finally have kids I plan on being the mom that gets up and has breakfast ready every day, but until then, I shall enjoy my sleep!

The alarm goes off at 5:20 am. (for hubby). I lay in bed until he is out of the bathroom close to 6 am.

I will start the coffee (for me only) and find Bender's collar and let the cats outside to do their walkabouts while I walk out and get the 2 newspapers.

I have my coffee and somethings something to eat while I read the local paper and usually I have time to read the Wall Street Journal too. Its about 7 am at this time.

I will then-depending on the time of year and weather go and do some yardwork/watering for 60-90 minutes. Or I might go on the computer, check email, TCS/weather & facebook.

I try to get ready for work about 8:30-8:40 as I leave most days by 9:25.
One day a week I go to our other store 1st so I bump everything an hour earlier.
I'm still landscaping one/day week so this morning for instance I left the house at about 7:15 once I loaded all my stuff in my vehicle.

I make sure the cats have fresh water & food. They (bender & bakker) have to be in the house before I leave. Grizzlie at age 15 likes sitting out on the patio enjoying the sun on her bones & will find shade when hot. The stray (& Grizzlie) is either in or out the garage depending on the weather. So more water & food bowls outside for them.

I usually if its sunny make sure all the window blinds are closed. And now that we have A/C I decide if I will turn it on or not. Garbage day is Tuesday so I get that ready and take it out and recycling pickup is every other Friday so I lug that out too.

I will usually eat breakfast before work and make sure I have something for lunch.

From the begining of July until late September I go out to the garden everyday as I grow the zucchini for our zucchini bread and once a week pick the basil and when ready tomatoes/peppers & red onions for our focaccia's that we sell Friday & Sat.
These items needs to be washed & weighed & noted in my calender.

Oh man, I am so not a morning person... my morning involves hitting the alarm, sitting up in bed and glaring at the world in general because I have to be awake- stumbling out of my room after using the restroom and such to trip over Peanut, who's begging up a storm

Feed the beggar, get to my office, flop down in my chair and check email and such- then go shower and get ready for my day!

Geez, I'm tired just reading that Pam. Since I'm retired and I'm not on any type of schedule, mornings are much the same every day. Get out of bed whenever, go brush my teeth, make the bed.

Then to the kitchen and give Autumn fresh Brita water and her first snack of the day which is a few Temptations. I take away her wet food empty bowl
which I had fed her much earlier, around 5am and replace it with her dry Purina One Indoor food. Have my first cup of coffee using my Keurig too

Then I come into the computer room and check out emails, baseball forums, click to give and TCS. Not always in that order. I have a second cup of coffee and then to the shower.

Things are a little different when Russ spends the night cuz he has to go to work, it's a pretty easygoing morning tho most of the time. Things change if I have an appt. to be somewhere.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
Gary and I work from home, and with his pain attacks, it's really difficult to keep much of a schedule (other than the kitties'), and recently I'm not getting to sleep until 2:00am - 3:30am, but have to be up to feed the kitties at 8:30am and still deal with the (stock) market open by 9:30am, so my days are all blending into each other right now.

Basically the alarm rings at 8:30, though if Gary hasn't woken me up in pain, Lazlo is waking me up asking for food pretty regularly at 7:20am. I help Gary, get Lazlo fed and spend some time brushing him, and light up the laptop (in bed). I upgraded a couple of weeks ago to a smartphone, so sometimes I just check on emails and the news from it now. But if Gary's having an attack, I read the news out loud to him, and report on what's been going on around the world, so he can put his morning thoughts together for the morning call and/or the morning notes. If notes need to go out, I put the finishing touches on and send them.

When the alarm rings at 8:30, I give Lazlo his morning meds, feed the inside crew their wet meal, clean litter boxes while they're eating, deal with the fussing of bowls and such (have to make sure Billy or Ming Loy aren't stealing other kitties' food), and clean all their bowls from that. I make Gary juice, then make us tea or coffee. Then I head outside to take care of the ferals and Baloo (stray, not feral). If it's not raining, I go for a walk once I've put their food down. Baloo always runs to catch up with me once he's done eating, and he walks with me.
Gary's on the phone making morning calls and holding the morning call while I do all of this.

When I come back in, it's usually around 9:15/9:30 or so, so he's done with the first round of calls, and I use the small vacuum to do some basic cleaning, then I play with Chumley, Billy, and Ming Loy. I love on Shelly, and give Flowerbelle and Tuxedo kibble (because they refused to make the switch to an all wet diet).

Sometimes I shower, sometimes I don't. Depends upon what's on for the day and how I feel. I always shower at night these days. I don't know when that changed. I was one of those people that could just not start my day without a shower.

We're usually up by 5:00 a.m., because DH leaves for work at 5:45 and I at 6:20. Jamie's automatic feeder is set to go off at 4:45, because otherwise he wakes us up in anticipation of breakfast. I jump in the shower, clean the litter box and refill all the water bowls (and Miezi's breakfast bowl) while the coffee is brewing, do my make-up, cuddle Jamie, check the doors and windows and walk to the train station. Emails and TCS get checked on the train.

I get up around 6:30ish, although I'd LIKE to get up earlier than that. I'm just so exhausted. I usually shower at night because I hate getting up any earlier than I have to.

Get myself dressed pretty quick, feed my 3 cats, feed the fosters and scoop the litter boxes, get all my stuff ready to bring to work, and out the door I go. I rarely get a chance to eat breakfast, because I like getting to work before 8am and when school is out for the summer, it takes about 30-35 minutes to get there. When school is back in session, I'm going to HATE mornings. It can take upwards of 2 hours to get to work.

This morning I had Rob feed our cats so I had a few extra minutes to eat some breakfast because I'm trying to change my ways and eat healthier instead of not eating breakfast then being extremely hungry by 11am and scarfing down a ton of food I don't need to be eating.

Um you do more in the morning than I get done all day!

I am NOT a morning person... I get up around 9...sometimes 9:30...sometimes 8:30. DH leaves for work around then. I shower and do all that good stuff before ever leaving my bedroom. I start my coffee and sometimes DD's waffle. Then I get her up. Sometimes I dress her then; sometimes I just wait till after she has eaten. Then I finish making her breakfast. While she eats I brush my teeth (it's helping her cooperate with her own teeth brushing sometimes), make my own breakfast (usually an egg sandwich, keeps me from snacking before lunch) and empty the dishwasher DH ran before he left for work. Then I might putter some more or I eat. Kind of depends on when DD is done eating or when I get to my own breakfast making.

Often DD is done eating and playing when I eat my breakfast. Then we play together, read books, if she's due for a bath she gets it at this point. When it's not blazing hot we might go outside for a bit. I might try to do some other chores; but often just me making and eating breakfast and things is enough for LO to demand my attention. Some days I'll hop on here. Just depends on what she is up to at the moment. By 2-2:30 DD is looking for lunch.

Sweet sweet sweet nap time usually hits around 3 or a little after. If haven't eaten lunch I do that then. By then (now) I'm ready for a power nap and considering a second cup of coffee.
But I feel guilty knowing X, Y, and Z still need to be done... Usually x, y and z are the things that its just counter productive to do while she is up. Did you know it's hysterical to pull down freshly folded laundry?
This morning I decided to clean Dh's sink/counter while LO was in the tub playing after her bath. Multitasking! Go Mommy..... DD fell out of the tub. Fortunately the tears were more about her not being in the tub anymore than any owies the fall caused.

The problem is that the cats will not let us sleep any later than that. They have it in their heads that we are getting up to feed them and that's that. I'm even up that early on weekends now, too.

When DH feeds them that early on weekends, he can flop back down and go right back to sleep. Me? Once I'm awake, I'm awake. I can't fall back asleep, even on weekends. It's really frustrating. So I figure while I'm awake anyway, might as well get some small chores done around the house. And now since Tabs needs her ears cleaned and her meds and Whisper needs her meds, well, we're up and moving early. On weekends, after they've had their breakfast, I'll make coffee and then hit the computer for about an hour and then work a bit around the house.

I really wish we could free feed or use an automatic feeder. The problem is that Whisper and Bootser (our two Old Ladies) would constantly eat the food and then throw it back up. I think the other cats would be fine with it, but it's just not feasible with those two.

DH has to get up by 5:00 to be to work by 6:45. 5:00 isn't too bad; it's when they start in around 4:00 that I tend to get more than a little upset with them.
I don't have to be at work until 8:00 and getting up at 4:00 or 4:30 is a bit of overkill.

I'm glad that the sunrise is a bit later as the cats are usually moving around when the sun rises. Lately Bender wants attention at 3 am! If he is too persistant I let him into the garage as for some reason all the cats love the garage. They usually end up laying on the roof 's of the cars.

Unlike the others I am a morning person. Weekends if I could sleep until 7 or 7:30 that would be a long time the cats cannot wait that long.

I'm a night owl who used to work nights, and still adjusting to my new 8-5 schedule.

I shower at night and I am usually in bed by 1 or 2. If I get in bed fairly early (12:30-1) I set my alarm for 6:45. If I get in bed between 1-2 I set my alarm for about 7:00-7:15. If I get in bed late (after 2) I may set it as late as 7:30-7:40 since I only live about five minutes from work. **My One Big Issue** with the snooze bar is that the sleep you get in between pressing snooze is not restful... at. all. So I'm just honest with myself that I will probably not get up, and set the alarm later so I can enjoy the sleep uninterrupted. Pressing snooze for 40 minutes will not rest you as much as sleeping uninterrupted for 20 minutes. Just a plug for the snooze bar addicts (which - trust me - I used to be!).

It's definitely hard to go on 4.5-6 hours of sleep but until I can get myself in bed before midnight, it's what I have to deal with. I used to sleep 5am-1pm or 6am-2pm!

I usually get up between 6:45-7:15 depending on bedtime as outlined above. I do press snooze once but don't go back to sleep, it just gives me some laying around time to blink, rub my eyes, stretch, crack my back, go to the bathroom if I need to. The next thing up for me is my laptop which I consider my newspaper. I read a little news, but mostly Facebook and TCS - and once I begin chuckling at things or have a desire to comment, that's when I know I'm awake. Usually it's about 10 minutes after snooze, or about 15-18 minutes after I first woke up. (I don't drink coffee so that's my replacement waking-up routine,
) Then I get up and let the cats in - they are always waiting for me on a cat bed that sits by my door. We say good morning with hugs & kisses, I do my getting ready routine which is just wipe face with washcloth, brush teeth, moisturize, and get dressed. (I am tooooooo lazy to do my hair or makeup and I have long, wild curly hair so there's not much I can do with it anyway.
) Then I shake my keys at the cats as their breakfast bell, feed them, and out I go! I leave about 10 minutes before 8 to allow myself time to get to work.

On days I get up at 6:45, I usually eat breakfast at home. Getting up any later than 7 I feel like I don't have time, so I bring something to eat at work, or grab a sammich or a yogurt at our cafeteria.

Ideally, I'd keep my routine the same since I enjoy it, but I would just go to bed between 11 and midnight so that I didn't have to have the days where I need to sleep until 7:30. When I sleep that late, I can't complete my lazy waking-up routine so I go to work sleepy. I hate being rushed, it sets a wrong tone for my whole day. Going to bed around 11:30 and getting up at 6:45-7 sounds just about right for me & my gang! WILLPOWER!! When y'all see me on the boards after midnight, yell at me to get off and go to bed!
