weird freaky things going on with our phones

Wow, wish you lived closer. I could come by and do some evp/emf sessions there to see if I could record anything. My friend had something like this happen at their new home. The old house phone (land line) kept calling their cell phones in the middle of the night. Strange thing was, the house phone did not work, because the under ground phone line had been accidently cut and was not yet repaired. This went on for several nights. When they shut both of their cells off for the night, they were woken up around 3am by someone pounding on their door. It was the county sheriff asking if there was a problem, because they kept getting 911 calls from their home phone. Again, the one that did not work because the line was cut. We did many sessions in their old home and it was incredible, the amount of voices I recorded.

Actually this is a pretty easy one. You have a source of electromagnetic interference. It could be something as simple as a neighbors phone. Maybe even a bad motor in a refrigerator or something. Hi power lines near your house. All sorts of things create interference like this. If you have an old radar detector you'd be amazed at the amount of microwave activities in the environment.
Electromagnetic interference, perhaps, but this is freaky! It's 1:30 a.m. here, I just watched a Netflix horror film with my kids, everyone is in bed but me, and I now have goosebumps!

Sure you could explain it t way... except:
This happened:
In a home phone
in an extension phone, which started ringing while the main line was already in use
on the answering machine,
in the cell phone - via voice, AND text message
In the cell phone, AWAY from home, in a restaurant via voice and text message, where evidently this "interference" would no loner exist.

Many years ago, I used to lie in bed and listen to music while I was trying to go to sleep. I had an old 8-track (I said it was MANY years ago!) in the bedroom. One night voices started coming through the system....men were talking about the membership of a group. I sat straight up in bed and started yelling for DH.
We think it was from a CB or a ham radio or something in the neighborhood that had come through the system. It lasted for about two weeks or so and then we never heard anything else. Definitely freaky.
I think I would seriously move out if something like that happened to me- re, the calls made from a cut landline.
As for the rest, I love horror movies and all things supernatural... but if they were to happen to me I don't think I'd be quite as happy. I definitely think something is going on in your home, that someone is trying to reach you- good luck!!

When I was in middle school we lived on base housing. Saturday nights the Christian radio station had a show on that played stuff geared towards teens. I used to be jamming to a song and then I'd get interference from the tower on base!! I could never understand the code terms and what not; but that's deffinitely where it was coming from!Originally Posted by Winchester

I have the evp recordings saved to a CD. WIsh I could post the audio. The first evp session, I recorded a woman's voice yelling "get out!!" As we continued to do these sessions however, it seemed we were welcomed into the old home. The voices would interact with us, it is very interesting. I want to do more of this in other places.
That would be cool to hear, you should upload the files somewhere! Or even take the audio, match it with some creepy pictures and make a video for youtube.
That would creep me out if that happened to me.
I thought it was weird enough that things in my house keep turning on. The light on my satellite receiver in my bedroom comes on for about 2-3 seconds a few times a week. I thought maybe it was updating or something but I've tried to find info on it and can't find anyone else having that problem. The light is normally on only when it is turned on. 2 nights ago, I was laying in bed and my blackberry turned on out of nowhere. It was just sitting on my dresser. I didn't have any messages or anything but it has never done that before.
