My two kitties have watery eye outbreaks sometimes due to herpes so I started giving Enisyl-F Lysine Treats for Cats this week, to try and reduce the frequency. They love these things, they are like kitty crack LOL

All I have to do is show them the bag and they freak out fighting over who will get theirs first.

Does anyone else's cats love these? My vet only had the paste but I wanted to try the treats because I hoped they would like them better and they do.

Now I just have to hope that they end up working and reduce their herpes outbreaks.

Is this something you can only get at the vets office? We have a cat that is "sickly" and he is supplemented with the Lysine gel everyday. He has a vet visit this Saturday for yet more bloodwork. We are hoping to get to the bottom of his issues soon!

Let us know if these yummies help with the herpes outbreaks. I hope the treat does make a difference. I've never seen the treats but will now be on the lookout for them to see what they are all about

Where did you get these? I'd love it if I could find them online somewhere...I bought a HUGE container of lysine powder when my cats were still babies with the runny eye symptoms you mentioned...Haven't had to use it in a while, but it would be nice to have treats on hand just in case.

I got them on Amazon, because I couldn't find them locally. More than one company makes them but since I have prime membership and Amazon has these I gave them a try.

I tried mixing the contents of a lysine capsule in their canned food but it wasn't ideal because I had to mix it up and then feed the cats separately so they each got a proper dose. I figured the treats would be easier and they really are.

They are over the counter, I called some local vets and no one carried the treat version. Just the paste. Maybe you will be luckier though?
