Good morning dear Members of TCS!

(Tecnically is another day in the other side of the world, furthermore I want to give some of home work for the members of the other side of the world too... plus our member will going to have a really busy week!...)


***I have some issues with my internet conection & I don´t want to delay anything too!..***...Muahhahahaha!..

This is going to be fun!

1.- ¿Do you know México?…as a country or as a city? I know it as both, we studied it a little bit in school. It looks like a very beautiful place and I would love to go sometime!
2.- ¿Wich part exactly? are you came by business or by vacations? I really only know about the "popular" places to go on vacation (where the resorts are) and a few of the smaller places. I've never been, but I woud like to go sometime. I plan on doing it once I've visited all of the provinces/territories in my country. When you go on vacation and people ask where you're from they always ask if you've been to a province/territory in you country, I would love to be able to say yes!

One of my friends/roommates in college went there for part of her course though and loved it. She brought me back some wine and a shot glass, lol. It is very beautiful and looks like a great place to live. I would love to go there and take some photos.
4.- Can you speak spanish? I don't speak any spanish, but I do speak a [tiny] bit of french.
5.- Do you have some CD of Spanish music? do you like it? I don't think that I have a CD of any spanish music, but it's possible that I have one that has some on it. We have a bunch of CDs and I was involved in the recording industry for little bit. I listen to CBC radio (our national radio station) all the time, I have heard a bit on there. I do like it.
6.- Have you ever to watched a Mexican Movie? ( I mean with Spanish Dialogs?) I have! I know I have seen a few of them, but I don't remember which ones
7.-Do you like the Mexican Food?( do you have any preference for example: burritos, Tacos, rice & beans, etc?) I do like mexican food, there is a little restaurant just down the street from us that serves authentic Mexican food, we go there to eat quite often. I want to try everything on the menu! I don't have anything that's a favourite yet, but I do really like burritos!
8.-Do you like the Tequila?...or else Mexican Alcoholic beverage? I used to really like tequila, lol, but I drank too much one night and now I have a problem drinking it. I can drink it in mixed drinks ok, but I can't do shots anymore - they make me gag. I actually met my boyfriend almost two years ago at Tequila Tuesday at a local bar - they have tequila shots there for $2, lol.
9.- Have you ever to sleeped in a hammock? I have. When I still lived with my parents I insisted they get a hammock because they had two of the most perfect trees for it. I used to fall asleep and read in it all the time, I just loved it. I can't wait until we get a house of our own so we can put one up. I prefer the rope ones over the fabric ones too.
10.- Have you ever to saw the traditional mexican clothes? I may have, but I'm not sure. I have been to Mexican festivals and there are always people dressed up, but I was never sure if it was actually traditional Mexican clothing or a perception of traditional clothing.
11.- Do you to know Cancun Mexico? ( Is a beach) ( here´s the link my friend: )

Ok... how about another set?...


1. What's your favorite hobby?...My favourite hobby... hmm... that's a difficult one. I'm very creative and crafty, so I suppose that would be one. I absolutely love photography and when I shoot film I develop it all myself and do some interesting things in the darkroom. I also paint and draw. My other favourite hobby has to do with my dogs. I train them for show and for working in the field (hunting). It's so much fun and I absolutely love going to shows and watching my dogs kick butt, lol, they're really very good. We have started our breeding program and our first litter is going to be due in the late fall/early winter, so I'm excited to get a fresh start with newborn pups.
2. What's one trait you hate about yourself?....I have a tendency to start something and then not follow through with it - either because I lose interest, I get frustrated or something else comes along. I need to stick with something and finish it.
3. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment:….I want to watch a movie, I want my friend to stop texting me (I'm having a leave me alone day, lol) and I really should have a shower before I watch the movie, lol
4. What do you read in the bathroom?....We have a magazine rack in the bathroom, lol. I usually read the magazines in there - Modern Dog, Popular Science and Make
5. Current worry right now?....That Mike won't be able to find a job and we'll run out of savings. I'm not sure what we'll do then because we won't be able to afford our pets and I'll have to give up my breeding plans.
6. Hight heels or low heels are you wearing right now?....I'm not wearing any shoes right now, lol, but a few minutes ago I took the dogs for a walk and was wearing flip flops. When we go out and have to get dressed up I wear low heels though.
7. Favorite place to be on weekends?....I usually have to work every weekend, which is definitely not my favourite place to be. I love going camping and hiking though, so that would probably be it. We also go to quite a few concerts when we can afford it (most of the concerts we go to are $5-10, lol).
8. Where would you like to go?.....I really want to go back to the east coast. I absolutely love Nova Scotia and would love to move there. If anyone can get Mike and I jobs there we'd be there, lol. I also really love Northern Ontario. Mike's family is from there and we just got back from spending a week there. Unfortunately, he'd go insane living up there as there aren't a lot of bands that go through there.
9. What´s your Favourite pop soda….I am addicted to pop. I love Coca Cola and Fresca, also Canada Dry Ginger Ale. Another one of my favourites is Pop Shop Lemon Lime, but we don't get it much.
10. What colour T-shirt or blouse are you wearing right now?....I'm wearing a white tshirt with an orange tank top underneath. The tanktop has little birds all over it, they're yellow and white

How did your cats come to live with you?

We found Stan at Petsmart one day during in the cat adoption section. He was there through the local animal care and control. I just loved him, Mike liked him and we kept going back to see him. We weren't planning on getting a cat but he stole our hearts. We adopted him a few days later but unfortunately he had never seen a vet, he had some issues (bad teeth mostly) and when we took him in for those we found out he had FIP. He passed away 2 months after we got him.

This past February Mike realized how much I was missing having Stan around. I was constantly talking about him and how much I missed having a cat around. He said that I could get another as a Valentine's Day present, lol, probably so he didn't have to get me one. We contacted a few rescue groups and were told no because we have an intact dog. I browsed the free kittens on Kijiji but nothing was really standing out to me, or people weren't responding, so I finally just posted an ad with a little bit about ourselves and put "We don't care how old the cat is, what it looks like, how big or small it is, what it's fur is like or any of that stuff. We only have 3 requests; 1. The cat must be spayed/neutered if age appropriate, 2. The cat must be up to date on shots, 3. The cat must have grown up with or lived peacefully with dogs before". We had a lot of responses from the rescue groups that had denied us, a few from people that clearly didn't read the ad, and a few genuinely good responses. One in particular stood out to us, a man's friend bred siamese and had given him one 8 months before. He had come to realize that he wasn't a cat person, although he did not hate her. She was up to date on shots and spayed, we went to look at her. We came home with her that night and he gave us all of her things and about 3 months worth of food for free.

Have you trained them to do any tricks?
Leiki is not trained to do anything in particular, but has trained herself to annoy us every day, lol. By watching us do things she has figured out how to open the cabinet where her food is, even after we put a lock on it. She can also open all the doors in our apartment and likes to let the dogs out into the hall when we forget to lock the front door. She can also unlock their crate and let them out, but she doesn't do that very often (thankfully). I am trying to train her to come when called and then we'll go from there, but she isn't very eager to please and likes to do her own thing.

Do you dress them up?
Poor Leiki, we did once, lol. We had some friends over one day and one of them found one of Sadie's winter jackets (dog). We put it on Leiki, she was not amused. She sat there whipping her tail back and forth and growling, but she wouldn't move. I took it off of her after a few minutes.

What's your favorite holiday? Christmas. I do like getting presents, lol, but I like it because I get to see all of my family. My one sister lives about 12 hours from me and I only get to see her a few times a year, same with my nieces, so it's nice when they come down.

Unfortunately, Mike has to go to his family's Christmas in Timmins and it's impossible to get time off work around then so I'm without him for almost 2 weeks and I don't get to see his family - I love them too.

What's your least favorite holiday? Thanksgiving. I have no idea why, I just don't like it.

What was your favorite subject in school? My favourite subject in school was art/photography/ceramics. My teacher even created two special courses for the 5 of us that had done them all early, lol.

What was your least favorite subject in school? Science and History courses were my least favourite, but I love them now.

What's your favorite movie? Amelie is my favourite movie, I have watched it so many times. The Life and Hard Times of Guy Terrifico is another favourite - I had to buy a second DVD of it because I wore the first one out, lol.

What's your favorite song? I don't have one particular song that I love more than any of the others, but some that I listen to the most right now are Higher Power - The Sadies, Red City - Jerry Leger, any song by Buddy Holly and there's one on that they keep playing on The Drive on Radio 2 that I like, but I can't remember the name. This will probably all change by next week, lol.

What's your favorite color? I absolutely the colour brown, I like it even more when it's with blue or pink.

What is your favorite thing about Canada? Oh gosh, there are so many things! I love how the seasons change, as much as I complain about winter, I love how friendly [most] people are, I love how colourful our money is, lol.

How deep does it snow where you live? Normally we only get a foot or so, but the last few winters have been brutal! Last winter we had almost 6 feet in places, there was one day that I actually had to call in to work because I couldn't get my car out of the parking lot and the buses weren't running, there were other days like that but I thankfully had them off.

What is your favorite children's book? It was a book that I got at a yard sale called William The Watchcat. I absolutely loved that book!

What is your favorite television show? Criminal Minds! We also make a point of watching Big Bang Theory, Hoarders, Intervention... our tv is pretty much always on A&E!

1.- Wich one is your favourite Genre of Movies? I absolutely love romantic comedies, although my boyfriend hates them, lol. When he was working he would download them before he left so that I could get my fix while he was working and wouldn't bug him to watch them.
2.- Do you collect DVD´s or VHS??,….How many do you have? We actually collect both, and still buy/take VHS tapes at yard sales. I got a copy of Charlotte's Web a few weekends ago for free! We have around 200 DVDs and about 100 VHS movies.
3.- Wich one is your favourite Actor Male? My favourite actor is Matthew Grey Gubler (Reid on Criminal Minds, he's also in quite a few movies). He's hilarious and cute as well!
4.- Wich one is your favourite Actor Female? Zoey Deschanel. I absolutely love every movie that I've seen her in and find her to be quite funny too!
5.- Have you ever to participated in some Special Event of your favourite artist? I worked at the East Coast Music Awards one year as a photographer for a newspaper I was working for, I also covered North By North East for Now Magazine in Toronto one year. I loved the bands and had friends that were playing too.
6.- Have you ever to saw in live to some artist? ( I mean is some restaurant, buying at mall or in some resort?) Mike and I were at Best Buy a few months ago and saw Tom Wilson from Blackie and The Rodeo Kings. We've also seen musicians at different guitar stores that we've been at - mostly in Toronto.
7.- Do you like to watch the Oscar Awards, the Grammys, the Emmys, the People choice etc? Not really. It's not that I don't like to watch them, I just don't have the attention span and if something I don't like wins I get angry, lol.
8.- Have you ever to participated in a role in a Theather representation? ( maybe just for fun or when you was on School?) … I painted props for a theatre production when I was in high school, I don't remember what it was I just remember not liking it, lol. Mike is currently finishing up a run of a play that he was doing the lighting for.
9.- If you could to meet to some artist wich one would be and say us why!... I've actually met pretty much everyone that I've wanted to meet! I dated a few musicians when I was younger and they introduced me to a lot of really cool people. I would love to meet Robert Doisneau (a photographer) but he's been gone for a bit now He was my favourite.
10.- Would you like to live next at some artist (? ( I mean for example your neighboor would be a TV anchor or else?)……When we were actively looking at houses to buy we looked at one that was just a few houses down from the lead singer of Helix (Canadian Metal Band, lol). I think it would be cool for the first little while and would get VERY annoying after that.

1.- Wich one is your favourite Genre of Music? Folk/Alternative Country! So many of the bands that I listen to fall into that category, although I'm not a huge fan of just plain country.
2.- How many Cd´s do you have? I have about 400 right now, both my boyfriend and I are given CDs a lot because of our friends that are musicians and from when we both worked in the industry a bit.
3.- Wich one is your favourite singer Male? Joel Plasket - I absolutely adore him, his voice, his music - it's very neat!
4.- Wich one is your favourite singer Female? I'm not a big fan of female singers to be honest. My favourite is Jill Barber - very old soul, crooning type voice. I love her. I will also admit that I really like Katy Perry, ol.
5.- Have you ever to listened at http://www.rippingtons.com/ ????? I haven't, I'll have to check it out!

I usually prefer to listen to a CD from the artist, but if you're trying to get to know someone else through music a collage of music with no information is a great way!

-Do yo like the Beatles? I used to like them a lot more than I do now. I work almost every senior's day at work and they play The Beatles all the time so they started to drive me nuts, lol. I can listen to them when I'm not at work for a little bit, but when I'm at work and hear them I go crazy, lol. Probably because I associate them with the cranky customers we get on that day.
- Wich one in your own opinion is the best song of the beatles?.. There is one song that I really like but I can't remember the name. When my boyfriend wakes up I'll see if he knows what it is, lol.
- do you have some LP from the Beatles?.We have three of them - Rubber Soul, Beatlemania and The White Album.
- Do you think Oasis has the same success & fame of the Beatles?.. When Oasis was first popular around here I was quite young, all that I remember is that they were very popular but had a lot of difficulties within the band. Looking back now, I think that they have had about the same success and fame as The Beatles, but only time will tell if they'll become immortalized like them - personally, I don't think they will. Then again, I don't think many, if any, bands of my generation will - I dread the senior's day music when I become one, lol.
- Have you ever watched the Yellow submarine movie?... I haven't, but I do want to. I'll have to download it and try to watch it this weekend.
- do you have some CD from the Beatles?... I don't have any CDs of them, only the LPs.
- wich one of they 4 ( Paul, John, Ringo & George ) was the best beatle?... Ringo was always my favourite, I think because I watched him on Shining Time Station when I was young, lol. John has been made into a musical god, so it's hard not to think of him like that. I don't know much about George, unfortunately. I do like Paul as well, one of my friends actually played with him when he played in the park in Halifax a few years ago.

Do you have covered some song with your skills with Keyboard, banjo or clarinet?... I don't at the moment. My boyfriend and I have a small studio set up in our apartment (we call it the hole, lol) and we've started to record a bit of stuff... when we get something done I'll post it to here.
About the clarinet, have you ever tried Jazz?... When I was in high school I played with the band for a little bit, we played some there. I did really like playing it, but I don't play with anyone now - I just don't have the time.
Wich one is your ringtone in your cell phone?... It used to be Friend of the Devil by The Grateful Dead (one of my favourite songs) but it just disappeared off of my phone (the second or third time that my cellphone carrier has deleted stuff off my phone). Now it's just the default tone, which is annoying because my boyfriend and I have the same phone and the same ringtone - we're always picking up the wrong phone when it rings.

1.- Wich one is the most crazy thing that have you ever do it???? ( I mean for example, Jump in parachute, Take a Snake live, Jump in Bungee etc) I haven't done anything from heights - I'm too afraid, lol. We do a lot of stupid things when we go out taking photos - mostly break and enters into old factories and abandoned houses in the country... shhhh, lol. When I was younger and used to ride horses we used to go out in the woods a lot and just gallop through the trails, even though we were always told to keep it at a walk or trot. We found out why one day when we were galloping around a corner and I almost ran over a deer on my horse, lol. I'll try to remember something more interesting though
2.- Do you have indor plants at home? I do! I have two rather large aloe plants (thankfully Leiki leaves them alone), 4 bean plants and 13 tomato plants, lol. They're all in our window sills around the apartment. When the tomato and bean plants are done at the end of the summer we're going to get some regular indoor plants.
3.- If you can travel in time and to meet to some historycal person WHO would be and Tell us why?... I would love to go back in time and meet Andy Warhol, I think that would be very interesting.
4.- If you have the money power to move to some part of the world ( of course with your kittys) wich place would be and why..... As much as I complain about the winters here, I would probably just move to the east coast of Canada, lol. I absolutely love it there!
5.- What is the thing that really anoy you on the persons.......( for example: the hypocresy, the envy etc) People annoy me with their impatience! Is it really going to kill you to have to wait in a line for an extra 2 minutes? Is it really necessary to pass me on the highway in a no pass zone when I'm just going to catch up to you at the next light anyways? If people slowed down a little bit I think we would all be a lot less stressed and way more friendly.
6.- Are you Religious? I am not. I believe there is something more out there, but I don't believe in any specific god/entity. One thing that really annoys me is when people push their religion on others.
7.- Favourite Salad? Spinach, mixed greens, apple, feta (because I dont' like blue cheese, lol), cranberries, pecans and a nice raspberry vinaigrette. I also really like greek salads... and pasta salad... with tuna, lol.
8.- favourite pop soda? Regular Coke, Fresca, Pop Shop pops (especially Lemon Lime!)
9.- Choose one would you prefer to watch Sunrise or Sunset and tell us why...... I love Sunrise, but I would prefer to watch Sunset because I really don't like getting up int he morning, lol.
10.- Do you have a car? wich type is it?.... I have a 2008 Chevy Aveo5. It's a little red hatchback. When I got it, my other car had broken down and my mom and I went out car shopping. I was planning on just getting a used car, but my parents were insisting that it had to be newer than my old one so that I wouldn't run into the same problems. It was actually cheaper to get a new car because it was 0% financing whereas used ones were 9%


1. Have you ever to sleeped on satin sheets? I have. When I first moved to college my mom got me a set of them for the summer because we didn't have airconditioning where I was living. It was nice because they were cooler, but annoying because they moved around a lot.
2. Can you whistle?.. I can whistle very well! People are usually impressed because I have a very good range when I whistle and can go for quite a bit.
3. Favorite color?... My favourite colour is brown, I really like it when it's together with pink or blue, also with green.
4. Would you be a Pirate? (Disguise for Halloween…..arrrrrrrrrrgh!)… Yes! I had a friend a few years ago (we've fallen out of touch for personal reasons now though), anyways he lost the sight in one of his eyes after being attacked downtown one night. We had been to a concert together earlier in the night, he left early to meet up with his girlfriend. He ended up getting beaten up very badly and his girlfriend broke up with him while he was healing from it. He had to wear an eye patch for awhile so when we'd go out we'd dress up like pirates to make him feel better.
5. What songs do you sing in the shower?... I often have a CD going while I'm in the shower, so I'll sing along to it. I've been listening to Sarah Harmer a lot in the shower lately, mostly her album I'm A Mountain. I love belting out "I'm a mountain, I'm a mountain" in the shower, lol.
6. Favorite Girl's Name?... Audrey, it was my mom's mom's name. She passed away when my mom was only 2. When I was young - old enough to talk but young enough to be in a crib still - my mom was going out one night and was wearing a locket with her picture in it. She showed it to me and asked me if I knew who it was, I told her that it was the lady that comes to visit me at night.
7. Favorite Baseball Team?.. I don't watch much baseball anymore, but when I was young my parents were very into baseball and we'd go to games all the time. I've always been a fan of the Blue Jays. THey have a day where you can go and bring your dog at the start of the season, I really want to go to that sometime.
8. Favorite boy's name?... August, it's also a family name but I don't have any interesting stories about it, lol. I also love the name Otis, we have friends that named their little boy that. I'm a fan of older names.
9. What's in your pocket right now?...A sticker with a picture of a dachshund on it that a customer gave me at work. My regular customers are awesome, I love them. They'll bring me little things that they get that have dachshunds on them because they know that I have that breed. A lot of them will also bring me iced coffees from McDonald's in the summer too
10. Last thing that made you laugh?.... My boyfriend. I had a bad day at work today because I found out that I'm working tomorrow on short notice, and on Saturday too, which means that by Sunday I'll have only had one day off in two weeks. I called him and almost started crying because we had plans for tomorrow (and I had an appointment), he said that he was going to have a special surprise to me when I got home. I just got home and he is making ratatouille and downloaded the cartoon movie of the same name to cheer me up. He must have remembered that I like watching those types of movies when I'm having a bad day or when I'm sick.

I can whistle pretty good! We should have a whistling contest, lol.

1. Can you drive a motorcicle?... Almost 5 years ago my dad decided that he wanted to get his motorcycle license, I kind of wanted to get mine too after seeing a girl in Toronto riding one around the city in a dress, lol. He signed us up for the course and we did it... and passed! We shared a motorcycle, but for some reason I was always afraid to drive it very far. I would take it to get coffee or to go to the store up the street quick, but never more than a 10 minute drive or so. Our licenses expire this year, we never took the test to get our full licenses. We're both ok with it, he sold the motorcycle to one of my sisters. She drove it from my parents place to where she lives - a 12 hour drive. That was last year. She called my parents yesterday to tell them that she had taken it out for a short drive and ended up around Gaspe - quite a few hours from where she lives, lol. She stayed overnight there and drove home the next day. I would like to get my license again, but I just want a Vespa type scooter.
2 Worst injury you've ever had?... When I was riding I was out on the trails with a pretty green horse. I remember thinking before I even left, "I shouldn't be doing this" but didn't listen to myself and took him out. He got spooked by a bird and my little finger got caught in the reins on my way down. I broke it pretty bad, but had to way back to the barn. I sucked it up and got back on, rode him all the way back with no problems. When I got back to the barn I handed him over to someone else for a few minutes, went to the tack room and taped my finger to my other one, then went right back to work. No way that I could do that now, lol. My little finger on that hand still sticks out funny - it goes up on about a 45 degree angle when I have my hand flat.

Another time I was out with my friends in the country and fell into a ditch. I fractured my ankle and didn't go to the hospital until the next day. It never did heal properly and that's why I had to stop riding. I was competing n show jumping and couldn't keep my ankle in the stirrup long enough to do a course. I go out every once in awhile now but I have to either ride with no saddle or with my stirrups super long.
3. Do you love where you live?... I love the country that I live in, I love parts of where I live... but for the most part, no. We don't live in a good area, it's ok but there is still a lot that goes on and I'm not even comfortable taking my dogs out to pee at night.
4. How many TVs do you have in your house?.... We have two. One in the living room and one in our bedroom.
5. Who is your loudest friend?... One of my old friends Jess was one of the loudest people you'd ever meet. My sister is pretty close competition.
6. Do you have any pets?(apart of your kitts of course )….... I have two dogs that live with me (Sadie and Fynn, dachshunds) and one that lives with my friend (Lucy, another dachshund - we co own her). We also have 4 fish - a plecko, two schbunkin goldfish and an angelfish. We took the angelfish from a lady I work with that was just going to flush it, we don't have a heater in our tank but it seems to do fine. It's often swimming around with the goldfish - right in between them! Then we have our little meowzer, lol.
7. Does someone have a crush on you?... One of my good friends does, lol. We met a few years ago at a pub. I had just broken up with my boyfriend and was there with a friend having a beer before going to a club. We all got talking, I must have said my age first and then he said he was 20. After hanging out with him some more I found out he was actually 17 (turning 18 in a month) and had lied about his age. We never did date, but we are super close friends and I think he does still have a crush on me, even though we're both in relationships and have been for awhile.

There's also a kid at work that has a crush on me, lol.
8. Your favorite book(s)? I just finished reading a book called Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal. It was hilarious and I absolutely loved it. I also love anything by Douglas Copeland.
9. Do you collect anything?... I collect old film cameras, my favourite is the Brownie Hawkeye. I use every camera I have - from the hawkeye (I have to file down the film to fit) to the 35mm cameras to my Mamiya 645.

I also collect anything with a dachshund on it, lol.
10. What song do you want played at your funeral? I'll have to get back to you on that one... I haven't thought of it much. My mom wants a song called Lay Me Down Sweet Jesus by Justin Rutledge played at hers. I would love to have the words, "like a bird on a wire, like a drunk in a midnight choir, I have tried in my way to be free."

1. How did you come up with the name Nerdrock, what does it mean? I was really a nerd when I was younger, still am actually, lol and I really liked music... it was also around the time that that song called Angry Nerd Rock came out and I loved it, so it just kind of all came together then, lol.
2. What is your favorite forum on TCS? I still haven't searched them all very much, but I do like The Cat Lounge a lot - I like reading about everyone and their pets.
3. What is your least favorite forum on TCS? Crossing The Bridge, just because it's hard to lose a pet. I don't go in there very often, simply because it brings back memories of my own pets that have passed.
4. How did you come to find TCS? My mom's cat was on food prescribed by the vet for some reason and I was looking for an alternative. I can't remember what she was on or why now though.
5. do you have other pets other than your kitty? Yup! We have two dogs that live with us, Sadie and Fynn (dachshunds), we also co own another dachshund with one of my friends, her name is Lucy. We have some fish too.

4. On my right foot, the two toes after my big toe are webbed until about halfway up. I was sad when toe socks were the big thing because I couldn't wear them.
5. I have four tattoos and plan on getting a fifth/sixth soon. The first one I got when I was 20 - my mom took me and paid for it because she didn't think I was going to go through with it. I got a small maple leaf on my right hip. My dad flipped when we came home (we had gone shopping). The second I got when I was 22, my friend from college and I got them at a bad tattoo shop. We both got our zodiak signs, mine is on my right wrist. When I was 23 I got a larger piece on my left foot - it's the music to the course of heart of gold with a stock of wheat. It represented a lot that was going on in my life at the time and I still love it now, even though things have changed a lot. About a month later my mom and I went to get tattoos for her 60th birthday. It was her first one, she got our initials on her foot and I got a little Picasso drawing of a dachshund on my right foot to represent my dogs, my love of the breed and my future hopes for our breeding program. Later this year (25th) I'm planning on getting the words "My little dog" on the inside of my right foot and "The heartbeat at my feet" on the inside of my left foot. My dogs have gotten me through a lot and I don't know what I would do without them.
6. I am bipolar and have social anxiety disorder. I used to be on medication but have successfully been off of it for almost two years now. I am working to get one of my dogs certified as a service dog, I have a lot of problems going anywhere unless I'm with someone that I'm very close to. Before I met my boyfriend I would stay at home as much as I could unless someone was with me, obviously that didn't help the depression side of my bipolar.
7. When I have a dream about people or pets that I know, it usually happens in real life. I had a dream a few months before we adopted Stanley that I was playing catch with a big old black cat in my living room - a few months later that's exactly what I was doing. I also had a dream about a year before my old dog died that I had another dog and had gone out for a few hours and my old dog had died. When Sadie was about 6 months old, my parents and I went to see Fracture at the theatre. When we came home my old dog had gone into kidney failure and we had to get him to the vet to have him put to sleep.
8. When I find something I'm interested in I research it until I know everything about it. Interestingly enough, I've been researching dachshunds for 5 years now and still don't know much, lol.
9. I used to work for a newspaper but I don't read or watch the news on TV.
10. Even though I don't read the newspaper or watch the news, I try to catch TMZ every night.

Hun, you are not alone on this one either. I have had a lifetime of anxiety (social and otherwise) issues and bouts of depression. Hang in there, now-a-days there is SO much help out there and it is talked about much more than in years past. It really is not that uncommon as you would think

1. What has been the best experience of your life? And why? I have had the pleasure of having so many great experiences and being able to do so many things that most people haven't. One of the best experiences was traveling with one of my friends and my boyfriend at the time with his band while they were on tour. We were only with them for about 2 weeks, but we travelled all over Southern Ontario - first was Listowel (right near where I live, my mom grew up there), then we went to Peterborough, then back south to Hamilton, then back north to Ottawa for three days, down to Sarnia for a day and then to Toronto for three days, back up north somewhere and then I had to come back to Sarnia the next morning (about a 10 hour drive!) for a different concert that I said I woud help with at my friend's place. At the end of those two weeks I went on vacation with my parents for 4 day to Pelee Island, lol. It was exhausting but so much fun.
2. What has been the worst experience of your life? And why? Having to put my old dog down for sure. I was so close to that dog, he was with me while I was growing up and I had him for 13 years. When I moved away to college I would bring him up with me for a week or two at a time, then he'd go back to my parents house. I was 21 when it happened but actually having to make that decision on whether to do tests and possibly prolong his life by a couple of months, or put him to sleep then, really made me grow up. I didn't actually cry until a week later when I had to go pick up his ashes. I sat in my car for a good hour just holding the box and crying.
3. If you could turn back the clock, what one thing would you change if you had the chance? I don't want everything to sound like it's all about money - but I would have been much more financially responsible when I was younger. Before I was diagnosed as bipolar I would take off and go on vacation or to concerts whenever I felt like it (the highs). I would arrange things so that I wouldn't be missing any work or anything like that, but those days off work meant that those were days that I wasn't bringing any money in and I was spending money on all of my trips. I would also go shopping all the time and go out to the bar with my friends a lot - I didn't and still don't have a drinking problem, but it was my partying/college drunk time. I wasted so much money and I think back and realize that if I hadn't gone to see that band in a city 5 hours away, I might still have that money. If I wouldn't have gone to the east coast for 2 weeks, I would still have that, if I wouldn't have gone shopping and bought all of those clothes that I barely ever wore, I would still have that. Know what I mean? Of course I wouldn't have had the experiences that came with a lot of those trips and all of the fun times, but I would have had other fun times.
4. Where is your favorite vacation spot? By far either the east coast or Northern Ontario. I really love the scenery of both and find it so relaxing. Mike's dad can get him a job in the mine up there so I've been kind of bugging him about that - saying that we should move up there for a few years, but I know that he would go crazy up there.
5. What was the best vacation you have had so far? When I was dating one of the guys in the band that I mentioned up above I went to visit him in Halifax. It was so much fun, I was out there for almost two weeks (one of MANY 2 week trips, lol). I took the train out there and back, hung out with friends that were from there that I don't get to see all that often, got to see so many great bands and experience so many things that most tourists dont' get to see and had the opportunity to sit in on some recording sessions for another friend. It was a lot of fun.
6. What is the worst vacation you have had? A trip I took to Toronto one time, it was absolutely horrible and nothing went right. Everyone that we were supposed to meet up with there bailed at the last minute, our reservations with the hotel were all screwed up. We were supposed to have a package with the hotel that was a room and two tickets to the art gallery showing for something (I can't even remember what now), but even though I had the reservation number and everything they couldnt' find the reservation and then package was overbooked so we couldn't get the tickets to the exhibit as part of the deal. We got a MUCH smaller room, and they did discount it a bit. When we went to the art gallery to just get tickets for the exhibit it was sold out for the day and they couldn't sell us tickets for the next day. We went to one of our favourite bars there instead, they always have live music and I know the bouncer there - well the bouncer that I know that works literally almost every single day was on vacation and there was no band playing, lol. When there is no band playing at this place it's one of the worst dive bars ever. We ended up just grabbing some food at a restaurant, hitting up the LCBO for some wine, going swimming at the hotel and then watching a PPV movie, lol.
7. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be? Still in Canada, but probably on the east coast or up North.
8. What do you like to do on the weekends? I work every weekend and it's really hard for me to get one off. In fact, I rarely have two days off in a row! When I do happen to get one off I love taking my dog to dog shows and letting him strut his stuff - he loves it too! I also love camping and going to concerts - we go to them quite a bit since most of the bands we like play for under $10 at local bars.
9. What do you do to unwind and relax? Hang out with the cat or the dogs mostly. I walk the dogs around the city as well. One of my friends and I will also get together and go out taking photos.
10. And last but not least, , What three things do you dislike the most in human personality traits? What three things do you admire most in human personality traits?

Dislike:
1. Rudeness - This probably comes mostly from working in retail, but I absolutely cannot stand it. There is no time ever calls for you being rude to someone, and I do know that sounds hypocritical because I have been rude to people as well, but I don't feel good after I've been rude to someone and apologize - most people don't.
2. Impatience - again, probably from retail. People are so impatient to get to the next stop, or the next point in their life, that they miss out on a lot of things and potentially put others in danger. Everyone just needs to slow down a bit.
3. Self Centeredness

2. Kindness
3. Love

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? When my sister was home last weekend we went to see Harry Potter in 3D at the theater. Mike and I are planning a date night soon and we're going to go to the VIP theatre and see something. It's cool there because they serve you in the theater, you can get lots of good fresh cooked food and they will serve you alcohol, lol. The seats are much nicer too, they're leather and recline quite a bit, you also get a little table, lol.
4. What is your favorite TV show? I love the Big Bang Theory!
5. What do you usually have for breakfast?.. I usually don't have breakfast, I know it's not great but I work a lot of mornings and tend to sleep in too late to have something.
6. What was the best time in your life?.. My best experience is in the post above this, but the best time in my life (so far) I think was the first bit that I was dating my boyfriend. It was nice to see each other as perfect for a little while and everything was really going good then. Not that things aren't fine now, but we didn't have any of the problems then that we do now (finances, stress, etc). We both still love each other very much and there aren't really any problems in our relationship, it's just the way a new relationship feels - did that make any sense?
7. What food do you dislike? .. I really don't like chicken. I don't like the taste, or the texture, I just don't like it, lol. If it's cut up into little pieces in something that I'm eating it's ok, but I still don't like it much, lol.
8. What is your favorite CD at moment? I absolutely love Leonard Cohen and I've been listening to his first album a lot lately.
9. Have you ever drive a boat? The only boat I've ever been part of navigating has been a canoe, lol.
10. Can you Swimn?... I can swim pretty good actually. My parents had a pool for a long time, they took it out when I was about 16 because it was getting really old and the upkeep was just too much considering that we didn't use it as much anymore. I also love going to the beach and just swimming in general.

I loved your answers, you are a very interesting person and I enjoyed reading your answers to my questions. Your Toronto vacation was terrible, but honestly I got a bit of a laugh reading about it, only because I couldn't believe your luck there. We have quite a few things in common

It's funny now, but at the time it was horrible, lol. If I remember correctly I had a hard time getting the time off work too, lol. which just made it that much worse.

The next set are very fun and easy.

1. Hot weather or Cold weather? Hot weather, I absolutely hate being cold.
2. Chocolate or Vanilla? I usually prefer vanilla but I do go on chocolate kicks sometimes. We were staying at my parents house when they were on vacation one time and I had such a strong craving for chocolate that I actually called my mom and asked her if she had any, lol. She said she left money in the freezer for me incase I had a craving for something, so I went out and got 2 lbs (!) of peanut M&Ms, lol.
3. Coffee or Tea? I am addicted to lattes but if it's strictly coffee or tea, I pick tea. I hate just plain old coffee.
4. Run or Walk? Walk, lol. I'm too out of shape to run.
5. Glasses or Contacts? I have both, but I prefer my glasses. I guess they're kind of like a safety blanket, I'm VERY uncomfortable if I have them off... I even wear them when I'm swimming, lol.
6. High heels or low heels? Low, I'm very clumsy and trip a lot in high heels. I'm also really short, so at least the low heels give me a bit of height.
7. Makeup or no-makeup? I rarely wear make up and I still look alright, lol. It's one of the things that my boyfriend loves about me - he says that he likes going to bed knowing that I'm going to look the same in the morning.
8. Fly or Drive? I have never flown anywhere, I'm afraid of it but I think I'm going to have to this winter if everything goes as planned with our litter. We'll be breeding our girl in the fall and the pups will be due around the time that the snow hits where my friend lives. It would be too dangerous for me to drive up there in the snow since I'm not used to driving up there in the winter - it's completely different than it is here.
9. Rise and Shine or Sleep Till Noon? I can go either way, but prefer sleeping in till noon... until the time comes when I wake up and am like, "there's so much I could have done in those 4 hours that I was sleeping!".
10. Snow or Rain? Snow. You can still go out and walk around while it's snowing without getting soaked, lol.
