I would probably pick two rooms, like 2 bedrooms, put food/water and a litter box in each room. Put 2 cats in one room and 2 cats in another. See if any cat messes outside the box. Then when you narrow it down to 2 cats, let the ones in the clear out and separate the 2 you've narrowed down.

Someone else may have a better idea but that is the best I can come up with. Hope you figure it out and get your kitty all better!

If you can separate all of them for 24 hours, you will be able to figure it out. It sounds like a UTI. I would put all 4 in different rooms with a litter box and a towel in the room (near litter box) If you only have 2 litter boxes, keep 2 together in one room and 2 in the other. Good luck. I hope everything is ok with your kitties.

minus the fact it could be behavioral. It does not always have to be a UTI and the cat needs to see a veterinarian to determine if it is a UTI . But the way catwomen87 said to figure out which cat is having inappropriate urination is great. It was also going to be my suggestion
