I would love some personal experiences on if this is worth it or what people's experiences are. Right now I'm going back and forth between Petcare and Pets Best, but I'm more then open to other suggestions. Here's what I want.

- Low Deductible, $100 or less
- Good Coverage Amount
- Low premium (I have 4 cats I'll be insuring, my Ragdoll is 18, so insurance really isn't a viable option for her anymore).
- Fast claim processing

I'm just at a spot in my life I've had several of my animals get ill close together costing me thousands in vet bills that I'm struggling to pay off. I wish I'd done this before, I never want finances to get in the way and force me to euthanize one of my babies because of the cost of treatment, so I'm looking for ways to protect my bank account against future unexpected vet bills.

Does anyone have experience with either of these companies or other insurance companies? I like that Pet Care plan I'm looking for offers a $75 per incident deductible and 100% coverage.

I don't know about either of those companies (I have petplan), but just be careful. When I was shopping around, a lot of plans would consider a condition they covered one year to be a preexisting - and uncovered - condition upon the policy's annual renewal. Defeats the whole purpose of the insurance to me - so if my cat gets, say, diabetes, then what? She'd only be covered for the year she's diagnosed and it's out of my pocket for the rest of her life?

So be sure you know the company's definition of "preexisting," since it can defy logic!

I've heard that before. What's your experience with Pet Plan? I just discovered them and am seriously looking into them as well now. Have you ever had to file a claim?

I had to file one claim - she needed surgery a few months after I got her. I had no hassles and I got the reimbursement check before her stitches were even out. That helped a great deal. How other claims will go - who knows? (Only have had the cat & the insurance since January.)

There are reviews on this site: http://www.petinsurancereview.com, and Pet Plan is very aware of them. After they paid my first claim, they emailed me to ask specifically to write a review for them on this site. I already had done so; that site was a good deal of what sold me on them.
