Going bald around the mouth?

Despite my last update on Sami, she is still alive. Her appetite increased dramatically, her bowel movements are near normal most days and she is putting weight on, so we decided to hold out on putting her to sleep.
Today I walked by her while she was sleeping in the chair with her face upside down and noticed all around her mouth is almost completely bald! I found a scab with a huge clump of fur near her. Could she be allergic to the pancreatic enzyme? Or could it be from the mass amounts of drool when we try to medicate her?
I suppose I will have to call the vet, just wondering if anyone had any ideas. I hate the thought of dragging her back down there. Especially since she pees when she is nervous all the time now.

It sounds like feline acne. Much has that problem as she grew sicker from her cancer and the vet said that her poor immune system was weakening so the acne became worse.

What do they do for it? Or is it something she may have to live with?

Carolina posted about using Hibiclens in Feralvr's thread about Pipsqueak. We use it around here a lot. Started after one of Gary's surgeries. Never occurred to me to use it for something like that, but makes sense to me that it would work. Here it is, found her post: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...&postcount=151

Carolina also has a video up for syringe feeding. Here's that thread: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...hlight=cat+bag

And here's her Why I love my cat bag - video thread.

I thought she posted the brand she uses (I think she's tried several), but I can't find it. I'm sure she'll let you know if you PM her.
