I thought my water disappeared faster than what could be explained with simple evaporation.

Finally I caught the culprit

I usually put a lid on my water - mostly to keep out cat fur - but, looks like I may have also been preventing my water being shared with a thirsty cat. Too funny.

Some of my cats do that as well. I am glad I am not the only one with that "problem"
. Thank you for sharing that photo.

That is to funny
! This is the way Maia gets her water, what she thinks is my water left out for her to drink. She has a couple glasses of water plus her water bowl, she is like the little girl in the movie Signs......

That is tooooo cute! My cat Rudy was obsessed with drinking other people's water for a long time. He would also beg by the faucet in the middle of the night. It got so bad that we caved in and bought him his own filtered water fountain... he's so spoiled!

That's hilarious! I use a scotch tumbler for a water glass for the cats on my nightstand, and I'm always amazed by how low the water level gets over the course of the day. I didn't think they could really get their heads that far in, even though it's not a tall glass. But seeing yours, wow!!

Our boys won't drink out of anything but a cup so we keep a cup of water at each sink in the house. That also helps us to remember to freshen their water a few times a day. On really hot days the water level drops quite quickly!
