Usually it's just her tail, and it doesn't stay puffed long enough for me to get a picture. But last night was the exception.

What made her get poofy? Once in a while Genever will get a poofy tail, I usually can't tell why though, but it definitely means something spooked her for some reason.

Thanks for looking all! She and Mazy were double teaming on Jennie, which I've never seen them do before. They had Jennie cornered in the small Box Fort. Jennie was doing a lot of swearing as they surrounded her. I had just decided to interfere when Jennie made a break for it with a very loud screaming string of expletives. She screamed so loud she scattered Mazy and Queen Eva, and even Tolly jumped up from his nap.

Queen Eva got all puffed as you see in the pictures and it took her quite a long time to un-puff.

Queen Eva's tail puffs up several times a day over one thing or another but it goes down so fast I can't ever get a picture. This time not only did I get shots of her puffed tail, I got to recorded her in an almost full body puff! Queen Eva has never been a fluffy cat, her fur always lies very flat and close to her body, so this was really something to see.

By the way a friend fixed her eye in the first pic for me. the flash made it look like she had no pupil.

Here is the fixed version.

Plus a couple more of the shots I took

My roommate put Buddy in the apartment hallway the other day, he poofed up. Its cute when they do that.

Queen Eva reminds me so much of my old girl, MJ. I only saw her poof up once though when she decided she didn't want her nails done. She looked just like that.
