Well i have recently had a baby kitten new to our home it is a female and i have a 7 year old Male cat thats neutered.At first the 7 year old would not even come out and make any contact with the kitten.We also had a previous cat who used to try to fight the 7 year old but we got rid of him.Well anyway my 7 year old cats i think is beggining to get warmed up he comes and plays with the kitten but the kitten arches his back up into a defensive position he never does anything though.Heres the problem.My 7 year old cat NEVER cries unless he's starving which is very very rare.But sometimes after he see's the kitten he does these weird loud cries they sound like cries as if he was in heat.I dont know if he is doing this as a positive or negative affect to the kitten.Is he trying to warn us that he doesnt like the kitten? or what because he plays with the kitten every once in a while but then he cries recklessly and like i said he never cries.Help ASAP
