10 days and counting till I see Aya!

As some of you know I am losing my job at the end of this month and returning to the USA from Japan. I had to export my Aya cat 3 1/2 mos ago.

Well, the wait is almost over, I will see Aya in 10 days! I leave Okinawa on Saturday and will spend 4 days in Seattle with my brother. I will be flying home to VT on the 4th.

I had to turn in my foster cat last friday, 'Cuddles'. the apartment has been real lonely without her. The furniture starts disappearring this afternoon too. She's been with the rescue group for over a year. I feel so bad I can't take her too, but Aya has already cost me a fortune to export.

Thanks for all the well wishes everybody!

My internet gets turned off this afternoon, so I may or may not be checking in till I go to Seattle on Sat.

We're now down to 7 days and counting!

I'm home!

As of Thurs. eve. This is a little belated, but...

Aa saw me through the frotn door and was scared (doesn't like strange people cat).

Then I went in and she was still a bit shy, but she came over for a sniff...

Then she ran away....

Then she did it again (a bit longer this time). Then she ran away again...

Finally the third sniff turned into an intensive inspection. She climbed on me to get nose to nose and decided that she knew me.

By the following day she was answering my calls to her.

I guess she remembers who her meowmy is after all.
