A State of Confusion
I've been out of town for the last week, so one of the first things I did when I got back was to go see Zeus and Athena and take some new pictures. They really grew in the week I was away and now they look like spindly-legged teenagers. That's so different from the little balls of fur with giant heads and stubby legs that they were just a few short weeks ago. While I was gone, their runny stools pretty much cleared up and we've treated them with the Capstar tablets now, so hopefully the fleas are a thing of the past. We might have an adopter for the two of them, but it's still pretty tentative yet.

Athena:

She fell asleep right on my foot. She seems to be really good at falling asleep right in the middle of whatever she's doing.

Zeus:

These guys are getting hard to photograph. I tried 10 times and in the end, I had to reach out and grab him to get him to stand still.

Here they are wrestling with each other.

Susan still gives them a bottle about once a day. Here, they're waiting at her feet while she mixes up the formula.

They took a nap on the chair after they ate. You can see how pretty their coat patterns are turning out. It doesn't look like either one of them are going to be regular striped tabbies. Athena, in particular, looks like she has the marbled pattern that's so common on American Shorthairs.

Those kids are just precious! And what great pictures! I love the one of Athena taking a nap on your foot, too. A kitten can drop everything all at one time and just crash.

Our Tabby is at the "all legs" stage now, too. She went from a scrawny little thing to a ball of fluff with a little belly to a gangly, leggy kitten...all in about 3 weeks!

I hope the adoptions work our for these little ones and they have wonderful forever homes.
