Ok. I'm expecting my period and have some nice PMS bloating going on.
I was asked TWICE this week if I'm pregnant and I'm NOT!
So embarrassing!

Earlier this week was a coworker which was a little more understandable since we work on a labor and delivery floor and have babies on the brain. Plus she knows I've been married for a year. She pointed at my bloated belly and said "you're not pregnant are you?!" "Um no it's called PMS..." and we laughed it off.

Then today at the gym a total stranger said "when are you due?" "um, I'm not...' "Oh, so you had the baby?!" "No...."
The nerve of some people...

Didn't exactly make me feel good.
I immediately went out to get some diuretic pills....

I find it so rude when people make comments about physical attributes. It doesn't matter if the person is a friend, co-worker, or complete stranger.

I'm heavy, and you wouldn't believe how many handi transit or cab drivers feel it is there right to ask me how much I weigh or how I managed to get so fat.

Sooo annoying!

As far as I'm concerned, it's never a good idea to ask if someone's pregnant. If they share that info, no worries, but if you ask there are just too many bad outcomes.

If they're not, you've just embarrassed them and/or come off as rude.
If they are, but you don't know them well, you're nosy or a busybody.

...we had a security guard at work who seemed to be of the opinion that all women were either pregnant or really wanted to be. I was feeling b!tchy one day and the third time he asked me if I was sure I wasn't pregnant because it looked like it, I politely turned to him, and said "So...either you think I'm fat or I'm a liar...which is it?" He never brought it up again.

I never ever ask someone if they are pregnant!! If we are discussing their pregnancy I might ask their due date; but along with not asking if someone is pregnant it's never a good idea to comment on how big/small you think they are!

Wow, I can't believe the nerve of some people

That is so rude.
I used to work at a vet clinic and when I was bloated it was kinda obvious through my scrubs. A client asked me once because I'd gained weight since the last time she brought her dog in. The part that made me feel better was she looked like she wanted to crawl under a rock even though I fake laughed it off.

My ex's mom used to remark everytime we visited on holiday "Wow! You're FAT now!". She'd be completely unapologetic about it too when I confronted her. So relieved we broke up

Don't listen to them hun, some people just don't know when to shut up

Ive never understood why anyone would ask this very dangerous question...unless of course, there was a head crowning....

Lol I'm imagining someone asking the lady in delivery "so when are you due?"

Ugh I got asked that at work, by a person who even knows that I'm childfree.
She looked directly at my stomach and asked if I was expecting - when I said no, she said "oh, well i know you dont want any but I just had to ask" ... continuing to look at my stomach. I felt miserable the rest of the day
And refused to believe any of my friends or my husband when they tried to tell me I didn't look pregnant, because I figured they were just trying to be nice.

I dont know where people find the audacity to ask that question to people.

I get that all the time. *pinches my tummy*

IMO the best is to answer the question with a question, like "how many CC's are those butt implants" or something to that effect. Top it off with a "just kidding, and I'm not preggers" so all is square.

I thankfully have never been asked this, I am chubby but I guess I'm chubby all over so they just know I'm fat

But one of my good friends gets asked ALL the time. She's quite small everywhere but her belly, she is a dental assistant and she looks even more pregnant when she's in her scrubs. She had a patient the other day ask her when she was due....

All she could say was "I'm not and you think this is bad, you should have seen me 40lbs ago"

I don't understand where people get off asking those type of questions

I think it's super rude to ask someone something so personal. I cannot fathom the mind lapse that someone would have to have to think it's ok to ask, especially if they don't know you from Adam.

Ignore them.
