Is it normal for a cat to wheeze sometimes when they breathe?
She's been given a clean bill of health from the vet, her appetite is voracious, she's playful and doesn't display any discomfort or suddenly get tired. But at least once day I hear this wheeze or sometimes what sound like, well, a booger caught in her nose, for lack of a better description, especially when she's sleeping. She did have a runny nose when we got her, but it's been clear for a couple months now. She doesn't sneeze at all.
She's only been living with us for 3 months now (she's about 10 - 11 months old) and we've done a lot of work in the house in the last couple of years which has kicked up a lot of dust and other stuff I don't even want to think about. The former owners were pretty disgusting, that's all I'll say about that. Maybe she's getting a snoot full of stuff that's irritating her, could that be it?
Any thoughts, am I worrying for no reason? Thanks in advance.
