News stories involving gays in any fashion always make a point of using that as an identifier. It's just as relevant in this case as any other. It appears that words like "equality" and "fair" are only used in the subject of gays when the story is something people don't want to hear.
I disagree. JEWS are all JEWISH. lol. Israelis are people from Israel, and yes, there may just be muslim, Jewish or Christian. You will never find a Jew that is not jewish. However, Jewish people may not practice Judaism, they may be non practicing, but are probably like A and P Catholics, Ashes and Palms, yanno.

I also disagree with the news using gay as an identifier. I read the news and watch it as well. I do not remember hearing a news story mentioning someone's sexuality, unless they are speaking of the marriage equality business going on. That's just not something very newsworthy. Like I said, who cares what they do behind closed doors?

So you are of the opinion that every terrorist attack is motivated by religion? That greatly and overly simplifies the issues; I'm assuming that it's mainly due to certain bias. Does falling back to "koolaid drinking" mean that you have run out of "facts"?

Why should anyone care? Because motivation is VERY important when it comes to violence such as this.
True. Reasons are important. Perhaps people should look at some of them, instead of picking out the one that suites their views and ignoring the rest.

I personally don't have any problem with news stories mentioning that the heroic couple were lesbian, but it has nothing to do with their motivation for their actions. At best it would be a gratuitous PC injection. I don't for a moment imagine that, while being interviewed, either one of them said, "Oh, yeah, be sure to mention we're lesbians, that's really important." I don't have any trouble at all imagining (in fact, I don't have to imagine it, since it's in the news reports) that either of the Fort Hood guys said, "I did this because I'm Muslim and they aren't." See the difference?
A lot of people claim to "not care" about that little fact, and that it's not relevant, especially when it's a element of the story they don't want to know about. It appears to be a case where the lesbian was morally superior and far braver than the dominant Christian in the story, so of course it suddenly becomes "not relevant". Much like a case of "na-na-na"

I can't find that reported anywhere, nor the religious view of the victims. Care to point a source out for me?

Perhaps you should read up on that a bit. The Rabbi's are very clear on what constitutes being a Jew, and it's by birth, not belief. Jews born as Jews are still Jews regardless of what religion they follow.

But they DO mention it, so they may as well do it consistently.

That would make my sister a Jew...and believe me, no one would make that case. Especially not her, although she HAS joked about it.

Usually, only when it's germaine to the story. A gay activist involved in activism is one thing. A gay person working as an economics advisor is another. That's why you've probably never heard it mentioned that Andrew Tobias, one of the best economic minds in the country (and an advisor to President Obama) is gay. If you've heard of him at all, it was entirely in the context of his brilliant work in economics.

However, this couple in Norway should certainly get credit for their bravery, and if their sexual orientation is scaring off news reports of it, that is just flat wrong.

Apparently there are some Christians that are thoroughly overjoyed with the massacre.

The trial is beginning, and I'm sure a lot of people won't like what they're going to hear.  This for one: You won't find anything that says Christian Terrorist more than this;

I wanted to make a version of Al Qaeda for European Christians and nationalists,” Breivik  told Geir Lippestad, his defense attorney, during cross-examination.
