Good morning all - I have two pieces of great news to share! 
1 - I found out yesterday at work that we will be getting monthly bonuses effective no later than January!!! (And probably before that. 
) I recently changed positions in my company and took a lateral move from a position with monthly incentive payouts to a position with none - so I lost about $1000 pre-tax income per month (career-wise, it was the wiser choice, though sometimes it hasn't felt like it! lol!). I thought I had prepared well with savings, but a lot of things happened at once - as they usually do - and I have been struggling with money. 
So the news that I will soon have another monthly incentive payout is VERY GOOD NEWS!!!! They also restructured salary ranges and I'm now below midpoint for my position's range - which means my merit increases will be larger for the next few years to get me into the target range. All very good news. 
2 - Joni and I had a picture perfect vet's visit this morning, and she is NEGATIVE for FIV/FeLV!!!!!!
She's 3 lbs 7 oz, was dewormed, and got her first distemper vaccine. She'll go back in a month to get the second round of distemper as well as her rabies vaccine, and between that visit and the beginning of September, she will be spayed! Then I will have three healthy, up-to-date, happy feline folk singers!
