TGIF all!

Not too much going on today. I'll call the vet this afternoon to see how foster Brooklyn is doing. Hopefully she'll be strong enough for her spay today.

After work we'll have a bit of running around to do to get a few supplies as I think we're going to go camping tomorrow night.

OH yes! Friday! It's going up to 100 today, so I'll be taking the kids to the beach after chores and garden work.

I hope Brooklyn is strong enough for her spay, and that she recovers quickly!!

I have to brush my big dog at some point today, and I just don't want to do it. She's a long haired Shiloh Shepherd and I always wind up wearing a fur coat, eating fur, and inhaling it too. But, I try to avoid the tumbleweeds, so a mom's gotta do, what a mom's gotta do.

Hair has protein in it, right?

Morning Friends!

It was already 85 degrees when I left for work this morning at 7:30. We're going to get above 100 again today. Hazy, hot, and humid. I hope we get some t-storms tonight.

DH is really hungry for a BLT sandwich; he said that we can have them tonight for dinner, he'll even grill them. Works! No cooking for me! We have a nice griddle for our grill, so he can go outside in the heat tonight.

And then we'll probably spend the rest of the evening in the pool. Our pool water isn't even that refreshing....it's pretty much like bath water at this point.

We don't have much in the way of weekend plans, which is a good thing. We need to clean out the basement for our trips to the landfill on Saturday; we have enough for two trips this time between construction stuff in the basement and the remainder of my aunt's stuff. While DH is doing that, I'm cleaning the house. And on Sunday, we're thinking of going with my brother and SIL to the QVC outlet and do some shopping. That's pretty much it.

Good morning

It was 82ºF at 7am, with a heat index of 92ºF, ughhh gross. Supposed to get up to 98ºF today, though yesterday it also touched the 100s in areas. Working until 1:45pm or so today, then off to the SPCA for a 2 day spay/neuter clinic to volunteer. After that, my FIL invited hubby and I to "steak night" at the VFW.

I have a 2:30-5:30 shift trimming claws and cleaning ears while the animals are recovering and coming out of anethesia. Never participated in it before so I have 30 minutes of training beforehand to go to. Tomorrow I have a 12-4 shift doing admin duties (I can do some serious data entry, too

Last time I did it, for the rabies clinic, the lady begged me to come back the next day but I already had plans!)

Total lack of motivation today though. My job decided to change the due date on something to today instead of Tuesday, which messed up my entire process I had going

I absolutely HATE making calibration curves for ONE sample!

I was planning on going to the beach, but I went yesterday and got sunburned so I better not go out again! I'm driving 2 hours to my parents' house later on, and packing for my trip to Maryland tomorrow.

Morning... cloudy and cool again this morning, but it'll turn sunny and warm in a few hours. I am pretty tired and sore all over today from helping our friends move yesterday. So I don't feel like doing much. I have to do laundry though, at least sheets, if nothing else. BF is going to visit a coworker who's out with a broken ankle after work, I don't know how late he'll be, but probably late enough that I shouldn't make any dinner plans, just make whatever whenever for myself. A BLT sounds good actually, with veggie bacon, of course!

We've got a ton of cherry tomatoes, so that would be a good dinner.
