Clearly the best way to cope it to stretch yourself out as far as you possibly can.

An expression that conveys your imminent descent into madness, caused by the temperature, is a good way to distract yourself a little, too.

Ichabod may be experiencing his first summer, having been born last October, but Henry, as a veteran of nine summers past, is more practical, shooting me a look that says, "Turn up the AC, lady!" Note Ichabod's tasteful modesty.

Misery loves company. (Yes, Henry's a stomach grazer.
We're working on it.)

FTR, the AC was turned up as much as possible, and it was an unpleasant but safe 28 degrees; they weren't frying dangerously in the 40s or anything and there was lots of water available, don't worry!

They're so cute! I completely understand the heat thing. I love Ichabods position. He's truly at home.

He does need the remote in one paw though.

We live in the Southern California Desert. Some of our inside cats have access to an outside enclosure.

I'm still amazed to find them, outside at 110 degrees plus when they have the a/c house available for them. Cats seem to tolerate the heat a lot better than humans.
We have plenty of feral-born living outside, and they know how to survive this heat - sleep during the heat of the day, hunt when the sun goes down and it's not as hot.

Love your pictures - cats sure know how to sleep!
