Some new Tabitha pictures

Tabitha is growing so fast. Had her to the vet last night for an ear check-up and she weighs in at 2.5 pounds. She's getting to be all legs right now! And such a sweetie!

She's on Clavamox now twice a day for an nasty ear infection brought on by the ear mites. We put Panolog ointment in her ears twice a day, after cleaning them well. And now they're trying Advantage on her because the Otomite Plus ear drops weren't really doing much for those mites.

Here's our baby girl!

This is the kitty bench. Inside is a litter box. They love it because they can use the litter box, but they can also flop down on the bench and watch the outside world. Tabby climbs up the side and sits on the bench, looking very proud of herself. See how her head is cocked? That's due to her ear problems. The vet thinks that, once we get her ears completely cleared up, she'll be able to balance better and her head won't tilt like that anymore. (DH wanted to call her Wobbles because she is rather wobbly, esp when she first awakens from a nap. Either that or Quizzy because she always looks so quizzical with her head cocked like that. But Tabitha she is....aka Tabby.)

DH had gone away for a day or two and, when he came home, he plopped his carry-on on the chair. And when I come home from work, my Jansport attache bag goes on the chair, too. Evidently, Tabby thinks the carry-on is quite comfortable because she flopped down and took a bit of a nap.

Mollipop and Bootser were in the bay window in the living room. I could see it in Tabby's eyes; she was trying to figure out how she could get into the window, too. She kept walking around, eyeing the window and I knew she was going to try to make the leap. Rather than her try, I picked her up and plopped her in the window with her sisters. Mollipop wasn't real happy about it, but she dealt with it OK. Bootser doesn't care one way or another, as long as everybody leaves her alone. Tabby, Mollipop, and Bootser. (And to the left of Tabby is just a wee bit of BooBoo's back.)

And here's Tabby and Mollipop. Tabby was so intrigued and kept looking out the window; DH and I smile at how interesting everything must be to her.

You know, I look at Mollipop sometimes and I cannot get over what a beautiful kitty she has become. That girl is just gorgeous. The other day, I was coming up from the basement and I saw Molli sitting on the step waiting for me and I just stopped and stared. She grew up! And she's beautiful! And she's my baby!

Thanks for looking!

Looks like she had a good time looking out the window with the big cats

Oh goodness, she is beyond adorable! I just want to reach through the screen and snuggle her; what a sweet, pretty little girl. And I think Tabitha suits her perfectly, BTW. Her sisters are awfully lovely as well! So sorry to hear about her ear infection - sending lots of "heal quickly!" her way.

I know it's due to the ear infection, but that tilted head is SOOOOO CUTE! Mollipop sure has grown, too; I think you need to do a grown-up photo shoot of the young lady!

Oh she is just precious. She is a lucky baby to have such a wonderful family now!!! Seems like everyone just welcomed the little darling with open paws. She is a real beauty and just too cute for words!

Thanks guys! She really is a sweetie!

Oh! She made it onto our bed now...as of this morning! At 5:00. All by herself. I was picking her up and putting her on the bed because our bed is kind of high. But this morning, she made the leap. She couldn't quite get her butt over the edge, so she had to pull herself the rest of the way with her claws, but she made it. And she looked so proud. She came up to me and immediately licked my nose. "Look, Mom! I made it!"

And when I went into the living room after my shower, Tabby was also in the bay window with BooBoo. I didn't put her there, so she did that by herself, too. The pillow that we have in the window was halfway to the floor, so I'm thinking she used claws for that jump, too.

She loves to plop on the back of the sofa now, too. She doesn't jump there; she just climbs up the sofa and flops.

I rather like the head tilt, too. It is cute. But I'll be glad to (hopefully) get those darn mites cleared up and get that little tilt back to normal. When we're feeding her, she runs around in circles and, with her head tilted like that, it's hard for her to see where the plate is when we're trying to put it on the floor. She is getting better....we just hope the tilt isn't permanent, but if it is, well, that's OK, too.

Yes, I have some pictures of Mollipop since she's gotten older. I think that girl is absolutely beautiful (but then I'm a little prejudiced). I knew she was getting older and prettier, but that one day when I saw her on the basement step, I just stopped. She is gorgeous, just gorgeous. In that picture I posted of Tabby and Molli, Molli looks a little "well-fed" (we don't ever call a kitty fat!), but she's really not; she's actually a pretty good weight. I'll post some pictures of our Miss Pop.

Thanks!

Thank you!

Had her back to the vet this past Wednesday and yes, the ear infection is clearing up, but not completely; the right ear drum is still bulging....but the good news is that we can even see the drum. Before, her poor little ears were so filthy and gunky we couldn't see much of anything deep inside. So we are making progress, slowly.

She now weighs 3 whole pounds!!

Getting better slowly is better than not getting better at all

I bet she feels so much better
More vibes so she continues to heal and feel better
