My lovely cat is due to have kittens again (and yes we have homes for the kittens).

This pregnancy is so different to her last one a year ago. She isnt fussy like last time but she is huge belly wise. We guessed her day of delivery would be 24th June but we obviously got that wrong.

We have spoken to the vet who says not to bring her in for an examination and just let nature take its course but i am anxious.

The poor thing waddles like a duck when she walks, lays down on her side cos the babies are constantly kicking and she just looks fed up. She isnt eating huge amounts either.

Apart from the normal signs of birth is there anything i should be looking for? people say nesting but she doesnt seem to be looking (but maybe thats because she has her usual place under our bed, an old moses basket and a box already set up.

Make sure what she eats is first rate! Do you have possibility to get goat milk? Goat milk is good for cats (and most other too
)

How is it in your country, is salomonella in eggs a problem? If not, raw egg yolk with this goat milk (or something else) is extra nourishing.
If you DO have salomonella on english or scottish eggs - dont take risks.

Lets hope others fill in.

Welcome to the Forums!

Good luck!

Yep can get Goats milk thats not a problem and she has dry kitten food she can nibble on all day and good quality kitten food that have 50-60% meat in it.

I dont really know why i am so worried about her, i think its because her belly is so big and the fact she waddles when she walks. She has a fed up look about her too and she is just a special cat that I want the best for her.

Kitty pregnancy lasts an average of 63 days.

Canned kitten food may work! It's totally smelly (in a good way!)it may stimulate her appetite.

Good Luck!

Rosie is asleep and we havent seen any signs yet.

I get on average 4hrs sleep a night because i am up checking her all the time.

My eldest 3 children would like me to record the birth so they can see exactly what happens.

rosie has kept me awake since 2am this morning, she was very unsettled and purring. No contractions just Rosie acting strange.

Have sports day at school today with the little princess so i am hoping if anything happens it will be before then or after but knowing rosie it will be during.
