I'm already anticipating Secret Santa Must have been because I bought a Christmas ornament in Portland last week!

I didn't participate last year. I felt let down from the year before. The previous year I knew I was going to participate so I spent all year shopping and keeping my eyesopen for SS gifts for my SS recipient and their cats/dogs.

I was given the name of someone I didn't even recall ever seeing on the forums. I did a search and found that the person had long absences from the forums for weeks and months at a time which is why I didn't recall their name.

I sent my SS gift by express post and knew that it must have arrived, but the person didn't even post about it for weeks. And when they did finally post, they didn't sound very excited and the post was about 2 sentences long (no pics) and listed about 3 of the items I had sent, and didn't even try to figure out who it was that sent it. And then they vanished from the forums again. I ended up revealing it in the new year.

I love to get gifts and I loved everything I received! But for me the greatest joy is giving, and I felt very let down by my SS recipient, so opted out of sending/receiving. However, I did assist someone in tormenting their SS recipient And that was a lot of fun

I haven't decided if I'm going to participate this year or not. I guess I still have time to decide.

I had a blast last year! Also was nice being able to show up at my SS's house with the box and actually getting to see them open it! I cant wait to sign up for this year!

I had a blast shopping for you! I remember you telling me about how you were going to surprise your SS with the package by showing up with it Oh, and I still kick myself in the butt over leaving the shipping receipt in the cookbook after all the work I did to send stuff from different towns in a different state!

Linda, I hate hearing that your SS recipient let you down like that I hope if you choose to participate this year that you will definitely get someone who is a regular and more appreciative of your gifts!

I also got my Xmas card order form in the mail the other day, which may have also contributed to my sudden excitement over Xmas and SS!

I think only people who post regularly should be able to participate. I hope to participate this year. My kitties still have toys from the year before that I have not given them. They were so spoiled!! And so was I.

Oh, Secret Santas sound like a ton of fun... and lucky me, I have a whole store here dedicated to people who LOVE CATS!

It's a good thing I don't have one near me (that I'm aware of!) ... I'd be broke

I can't wait!

I've done SS on a Boxer forum I was on before it went under and had sooooooooooo much fun!

I agree, I think only regulars should be able to partcipate, there was rules to the one on the Boxer forums, had to have so many posts, regular member, etc etc. That way someone new couldn't join, not send anything and just not come back to the forums. It happened to us one year so we all pitched in and bought that person something.

I already have something as well

I want to say names were assigned in September last year..? I almost missed the sign ups I was so busy with school! Had such a great time both shopping and anticipating last year
