Frogs for dinner?!

So, last night I was taking care of my fire belly toads and Mittens got curious as always. They started to hop around in the tank, and that REALLY got her attention! She wanted to catch them so badly. She has absolutely no concept of glass and kept trying to reach for them, haha. Also, neither Mittens or the frogs were in any danger. Just thought I'd make that clear!

"Hello Froggies..."

"Now, how am I gonna do this..."

"I see you!"

"Maybe if I go from this side..."

"Gotcha!... don't I?"

"Maybe if I go from the top?"

"Ugh! I give! You win for now, Frogs. But your day will come!"

The frogs, not looking too thrilled.

And Mittens pouting.

She's such a cute little hunter!

She really is! She only stopped because I put the tank back up on the stand.

Thanks! I'm glad you like the pictures! The FBTs are pretty cool. They don't do much, lol, but they're interesting to look at and feed. I've had them almost a year now, and Mittens has always loved to watch and stalk them. I love sooo many different kinds of animals (all of them, really), so I have quite the menagerie here. Mittens goes nuts because there are so many interesting creatures that she's not allowed to 'play' with! But, she'll live. Oh, and tuxedo kitties are pretty awesome! My girl is so pretty!

Yes I have to say IMO those are some of the best photo's I have seen in a while. So thank you for sharing them. Feel free to post picture's of your menagerie in the right area of the forum. I would love to see those photo's as well.

I agree Tuxedo cats rock !

OMG! Your frogs are too cute! ♥ What are their names?

Thanks, everyone! Their names are Ellie, Arnold, and 'Green Frog'. In the picture focused on them, Ellie is all the way in the back, 'Green Frog' is obvious in the center, and Arnold is camflaged by the water bowl.

Thanks! I'll have to take the time this week to get some updated pictures of everyone! Other than Mittens, I have 6 chinchillas, a green cheek conure (type of parrot), a dog, 3 FBTs, and my sister has a cockatiel. I'd love to add some more creatures, but sadly that's not going to happen until I get out on my own once I finish college (I'm told I have enough pets, lol). I'm still dreaming for my future ball python! That's definitely going to be my next addition once I am able.

Priceless pictures! Mittens is a real beauty!

looks likes she's doing her best! Great entertainment value.
I would not have known there were three frogs in that last pic if you hadn't pointed it out! Great camouflage.

She ever do the chirping where she eats them with her mind?

Poor Mittens, she is trying so hard but just couldn't pull it off. She's adorable, and her sulking photo is priceless and about the cutest thing ever. Hurrah for the frogs' victory, though, they look like cool little guys!

She is the great hunter! They are but mere toads! Ahhh defeated by glass! I love her expressions.

I love the toads, I love critters in general, but I have a terrarium that I'm putting PDF's in. I cannot resist their tiny adorable faces. I'm waiting for that humidity level business. I'm at 97 now. (Bad hair day in that terrarium I can tell ya that!)
