The only reason a vet would come to the conclusion the it's viral is that she has no bacterial growth.(and the low wbc) The vet mentioned that it her twitching could be mites...did she test for mites? Did she give you meds to kill the mites? She said it's treatable with antibiotics? The antibiotics are not curing anything, only preventing secondary infections.
I agree that if you can afford it, go get a higher quality cat food. Iams is not that great, IMO. I feed Taste of the Wild.
Anyway, I really hope she gets better soon. The weakness is concerning. Is it a generalized weakness? One sided? Back end only?
Pepper and I just got home from the vet. He is a different vet working in the same clinic-She is the father of Pepper's main vet.
Yes, he explained further about Pepper's current condition because he said he was studying her medical records.

So he checked her ear for earmites but negative. No ear mites but he said I should continue the ear mites remedy just to be safe and sure.
He explained that antibiotics won't treat viral infections, but it is needed to prevent secondary infections. He said that I should boost her immunity/resistance by giving her vitamins regularly, better food and all.

Regarding the twitching- he also physically tested Pepper, like checking out her spine, bones, squeezing some parts of her tummy. But she has no pain and bones are normal. He suggested that it might be a Nerve Problem. He prescribed capsules to be taken for 30 days. They are for the nerves.

I don't see any signs of Pepper's dry skin. I think her long fur is still normal looking as well as her skin. Food allergies, I haven't changed her diet -I'm not really sure if it is.

Here in Philippines especially around the place where I live-its so hard to find a good and reliable vet. If there are really high end vets-they're towns away and have to drive 2-3 hours just to get there and their fees are so highh. >.<
I've tried other vets around here. Its not that they are very few, but they're clinics are usually very unsanitary, smelly, unorganized and suspicious looking vets and assistants. It's horrible-if the clinics aren't even clean, I cannot trust the vet. They even keep the confined dogs inside the clinic where the clients can see them. Dogs and cats mixed-poor cats are probably stressed because of the loud barks of the dogs.

Well he gave you some solid answers! Good! I"m glad he at least did a proper physical exam to check for something neurological.
Keep us updated!

Yes! I was kind of glad that he isn't the same vet so as to get other opinion. I think he is more experienced because he is older.

Nice idea about the probiotics, I'll get some for Pepper. As of now, Pepper is less sleepy and always hungry. Unlike before, she's sleeping on morning , afternoon and evening. xD Slight improvement.
And she is now drinking by herself on water bowl.

So far, so good. Pepper's not feeling all lethargic, she's usually awake but less playful but she will get there.

Vet says I can bathe her today already.
Pepper has already fully recovered! She's happy, curious and energetic again! She can play now and no problem with her appetite.
Its just that she having soft stool due to her antibiotics! Can't wait til she finish her antibiotics.

Thank you so much for the support and concern for my pet!

Some things I learned during my cat's sick days:

1. Don't delay your cat's visit to her vet once you sense something is wrong.
2. Always prepare and save emergency money for her vet fees and medicines.
3. List all the things that you notice that is wrong with your cat, everything. So you you won't forget when you go consult the vet. xD
4. Talk to people in The Cat Site! XD
5. Just be there for your cat and pray pray pray!
