Desiree came back!!! But...

Almost 17 hours after she left, I heard a scratch at the back door and sure enough, it was her!!! I cried I was beyond relieved! However, her belly looks so so different! When she left it was bulging out massively at both sides and now that is gone. At first I thought she had given birth when I saw her but after she had a good meal, she laid on the floor and let me check her and I can still feel at least two kittens moving in her stomach. Also, I checked and discovered she is not yet producing milk. Is it possible she delivered one/some and not the others? Or could her belly have just changed positions to get ready for delivery? It doesn't appear to be hanging low but she is definitely still pregnant. I'm confused! Thanks in advance!!!

Experts say the belly "drops" just before delivery. Let's hope that's what happened. The only alternatives are not pleasant to think about.

Does she have any discharge from her vag area? If not, lets hope she's just dropped. You should keep her in an enlcosed area away from all doors. If she did it once, she could do it again. You may not be so lucky next time!
So glad she is back...she must have been hungry!

No discharge and no milk. I'm pretty sure she has just dropped! She is eating and drinking lots and letting me feel her stomach after each meal and I feel loads of movement in her tummy! I hope the kittens come soon!!!
