I'm back

Just wanted to touch base and let everyone know I'm still around. I had a bad experience with a kidney stone and the subsequent surgery. (My doctor was terrible, too; we just didn't see eye-to-eye.) I have been checking in occasionally to see how everybody was getting along and if my name had come up for member spotlight. I may only drop by occasionally because of other personal matters, but everyone and their furbabies are still in my thoughts.

I have heard that kidney stone surgery is a bad deal, even when everything goes right!

Thanks everyone! I will be back to posting when things settle down. My mom is sick right now and we're praying for a positive outcome.

I was actually writing a bit before things got bad...ghost writing short articles for microscopic pay. I have no idea where the material I write ends up; I have to give up all rights to it. I have read warnings online not to do such things, but I am just happy someone is interested in actually paying for something I've written. (And it isn't the anything that would come back to haunt me should I ever become famous...it's very tame stuff.)

Having gone through it, I'd have to say, when it goes right is not that bad. The stent for a week afterward was the worst part. But I had a great doctor. I hope you are better from it now. Kidney stones are awful!
