Not really sure hun, but I HOPE she has awhile to go yet. I'm not detecting any real movement, and I am hoping that is because she's not too far along as opposed to the alternative.
It's just so heartbreaking... This poor girl and her kits are pure innocents. I heard Brooklyn meow for the first time today. It was almost like a "thank you", you know?
Dana was petting her today and she was leaning into him... It was just precious. She just had her nighttime dose of meds and I syringe fed her a little more tuna juice, as she only lapped up a bit of it and I wanted to make sure she had a bit more. I was just so excited to see her lap some up earlier, as it was the first time she has shown ANY interest in food since she got here. Baby steps!

Brooklyn is giving birth and she is not even remotely strong enough for this.
Baby 1 was not fully formed, stillborn.

Oh Kailie, I'm so sorry.

Mega for Brooklyn. Apparently she's gone into labor too soon - or was too sick while pregnant.

And for you and Dana.

Awwww, so sorry to read this. Wonder if her little body just couldn't nourish them enough.

Oh no, Kailie, this is heartbreaking news. Poor Brooklyn.
. I am just sitting here right now so sad for you and Dana. Please know you are on my prayers tonight. Brooklyn is in loving hands and knows you both are there to help and comfort her through this.

Brooklyn is currently at the Saint John vet West.
They believe there is another kitten inside her but where she is so incredibly sick, they are unsure how to proceed at this point. They believe there is probably more illness involved than just a simple URI. Just waiting to hear from the vet to see what it going to happen, but it doesn't look good.

I was just speaking with Kari, the exect. director of the shelter, who I ADORE. She was talking with the vet. I guess they are going to test her for feline leukemia. If she tests negative, they will start and IV and try to get some nutrients into her, as well as some oxytocin to stimulate her to have that last kitten if there IS one more in her. The vet didn't seem to be really sure if there was or not. She is no shape to go through an emergency spay right now however. Argh...
So sad and frustrating!

Oh no! I just read this thread and was going to add my prayers, but now I'll add my prayers and condolences.

That poor mommy. I'm sending big hugs for you, you really did a wonderful thing for her.
