Meet Tabitha! My new adopted kitty

Last week I went to visit a kitten who had been rescued on a rainy night from a very busy intersection. It was love at first sight! She even peed on my husband marking him her territory!

Here she is! Tabitha!

Tabitha with 3 of her new brothers....one is missing. Today was her first day in my house mind you....yet they already love her

At that age, they're all ears, eyes, and legs, aren't they?

Your Tabitha has a similar story to Tumbleweed, also known as "Tumbles," belonging to our member StephanieTX. Another member rescued him from under a car in a flash flood south of Fort Worth.

Here's the initial story of Tumbleweed's rescue:

She is soooo adorable!! And yes, Tumbles was rescued during a flood from Hurricane Alex. I hope you have as much fun with Tabitha as we've had with our stinker!

Oh, my goodness how pretty - and how what a great welcome to your home! I liked the bit about your husband - but he sounds like a real keeper! Good luck to you all.

There is no way I would be able to resist that face either, even with the peeing! Looks like she is fitting in so well already hun!

What a cutie! Her brothers look very protective of her... I pity anyone who tries to mess with her and has to deal with THEM!

Thanks everyone!! She is doing great!!! And her brothers loveeee her already! Its amazing how fast my cats accept other cats into their home. I started with two that were siblings then came another and they accepted him right away, and another and now her! I love my cats!

Thanks everyone. She has fit in perfectly. The only problem im having now is today is day 2 of diarrhea =( she still plays and is super happy, but has tummy problems. I feel so bad for her and the worst part is I cant get her to the vet until Saturday since I will be at a clients office beginning tomorrow until August rather than at my office so i cant take off =(

The rescue where I adopted her from said she was dewormed and gave her heartgard. Can anyone give me any advice on how to deal with her little problem until Saturday.

Is she eating the same food she was? Because switching food can do it. If you're not feeding her what she was eating, if you can find out what she was eating, you can put her back on it, then slowly switch her to what you want her to be eating.

On the deworming... was she treated 2 or 3 times? Because if they have round worm, it requires a minimum of two treatments three weeks apart. Even better to have a third, just to make sure.

Still best to get a fecal sample in when you can.
