Hi Everyone

I'm new here and thought I would share photos of my cats. All of which were formerly feral. I will try and be brief with a short bio for each one.

Hope you enjoy!

Mama Cat...She is atleast 12 yrs, could be older. My pride and joy. She was the reason I created a cat room inside. Two years after I tnr'd her, I was able to gain her trust, and brought her and one of her babies inside. I have since had my cat room for 7 years, and have had several additions since her. She is the alpha of the pack, and all cats respect her. She and I have a mutual respect for eachother. She is very bonded with me.

Delilah...Also 12 years, and Mama Cats littermate. We were able to bring her and her baby in a couple years after Mama. She is very loving, and quiet. She is a very patient cat, and doesn't ask for much, but is content with whatever you offer her, food, toys, affection. Very easy going.

Ashley....Delilah's baby. She is 8 yrs. old now. She is first generation feral. We tnr'd her when she was 4 months old. She was 3 yrs. old before she trusted us and brought her inside at the same time we brought Delilah in. She was inside for 2 years before I ever heard her meow. She is the most skittish and still carries alot of the feral behavior you see with outside ferals. Very very sweet with my, and loves to be held on my shoulder and rubs her face on my shoulder the entire time holding her. Purrs very loudly. Very patient otherwise, and just a super sweet cat.

Oscar...My Angel Boy. The best I can guess is he is atleast 14 years. He has a long story, and I will share that another time. But simply put, he was in some very nasty fights. Seen in the neighborhood for many years. He has a slice out of his tongue, His eyelid is split, and one of his tear ducts is cut. Has a deformed back foot, deformed toenails, broken teeth, and many many scars all over his body, and many mental scars as well. I refer to him as my Angel Boy because I feel he rescued me at a time I was going to quit rescuing ferals, he came into my life, and made me realized this is who I am. Before we trapped him, we thought he was a very mean grouch tomcat! He is the complete opposite. He is the most gentle cat I have ever met, a true gentleman in the cat world, he just needed a chance to show that side of him. He currently has cancer, but each and everyday he is a blessing in my life.

LG aka Little Guy...5 years old. Very very smart. He was born feral but I was able to trap and tame him almost immediately at 6 months old. Very friendly, and one of the smartest cats I have met. He is the clown of the cat room, very fun, and willing to participate in anything I ask him to. I play with him with the clicker sometimes, and trained him to sit, down, rollover, and sit up! He loves cell phones, and has taken mine on several occasions.

Mac...5 years old and LG's littermate. Also brought him in at the same time. He and LG are still very very close. I like to call him a mushy cat. He is so soft and squeezable, just full of mush. Love to be held, kissed, hugged. He also returns the kisses, sometimes a little to much, but we couldn't ask for a sweeter little boy.

Lacee...2 years old. Sweet sweet Lacee. She has a sad story. Someone had hung her by a shoe lace as an itty bitty baby. She also had both hip joints fractured. It took months and months to rehabilitate her, and get her to walk and not crawl. She has some neurological damage from the strangulation, and scar tissue around the esophagus. But, I can say she is doing quite well, and a very happy and adjusted kitty. Doesn't trust many people, but is wonderful with my husband and I. All the other cats tend to be very protective of her. Mama Cat normally is indifferent with the other cats, but she tends to be a little more protective and loving to Lacee. I refer to her has the Princess of the bunch.

This is Tux... my current foster kitten. He is 3.5 months. I have been working with socializing him and preparing him for a new forever home for the past month and now He is going to his new home this weekend, but he is just too cute not to share.

Hope I didn't go over board with the pictures. I would like to share my outside colony with you next. I promise there won't be as many photos.

Yes 8!
Although Tux, the baby is being adopted into his new family this weekend. The 7 adults are permanent family members though.

I will get the outside ferals posted tonight.

Wow! That is great dedication to go and tame ferrals. I am jealous that I could not have the stamina nor patience nor guts really to go and do something like that (8 times more over!) Kudos to you!

There's no place like home
Welcome to TCS!!!

I think you will fit in quite nicely here!!

I also have a household of former ferals. I'm currently "down to" 7 (all of them seniors), but have had as many as 17 inside my house plus an outside colony. The last of my outside colony crossed last year at age 18.

Gorgeous kitties!

And you've done a fantastic job to gain all of their trust - they look so content. Your Oscar made me smile. There's just something about scarred former tomcats that pulls on my heart.

Wow, you've got an adorable furr-family! I'm quite partial to black cats, so the lovely Delilah & Ashley caught my eye, but each one of them looks so happy & healthy! Well done!
