I took my cat this afternoon for an enema, because he hadn't pooped in 4 days. He is 22 years old. The gave him .05 ml of a laxative before he left. I brought him home and he is unresponsive, laying there with his eyes open. HE pooped, but didn't really move. But he hasn't closed his eyes since we have been home. We got home at 5pm and it's now midnight. Is this normal? They didn't put him under, he was awake. Just wondering if him being lethargic, and not sleeping just gazing look is normal

I see this is your first post in this forum - welcome!

You really need to take him back to the vet first thing in the morning.
Didn't your vet tell you anything about his health issues?

I am amazed - 22 years old - that is incredible. Kudos to you and your cat, you are both amazing. I would definitely call the vet and voice my concerns, because at that age you don't want to take any chances. Please keep us posted.
